is the name of my new minizine, birthed today. Want to write for it? About anything. At any length.

Cozen (Cozen), Thursday, 24 April 2003 17:23 (twenty-two years ago)

I'd be delighted. I have to write something for a research group anyway, if you like it it's yours.

Matt (Matt), Thursday, 24 April 2003 17:45 (twenty-two years ago)

Please, may I submit my tour de force entitled "the frank and walters and me"?

jel -- (jel), Thursday, 24 April 2003 17:58 (twenty-two years ago)

Julio Desouza (jdesouza), Thursday, 24 April 2003 18:11 (twenty-two years ago)

The title is too good to sully with my writing

RickyT (RickyT), Thursday, 24 April 2003 22:03 (twenty-two years ago)

I will crush my impluse to ask stupid questions like "Is 'goalkeeper' a euphemism for 'bottom'" and congratulate you on your minizine.

Julio Desouza (jdesouza), Friday, 25 April 2003 10:16 (twenty-two years ago)

The song said JC played left back for palestine.

In other news, Catholicism was beaten 1-0 by Hindu Wanderers, with the nippy centre-forward Krishna scoring the winner after going right through the Holy Ghost in defence.

Matt DC (Matt DC), Friday, 25 April 2003 10:27 (twenty-two years ago)

Or I could write something like "I wasn't drunk, but I coulda sworn that Izzy Stradlin was riding a bicycle down the Uxbridge Road".

jel -- (jel), Friday, 25 April 2003 15:53 (twenty-two years ago)

I'm not surprised re the Pope. Goalkeepers are also completely indiscriminate about blaming who/whatever's convenient whenever everything goes pear-shaped. They also notoriously see themselves as the centre of their own universe. They also have their own set of rules.

Fred Nerk, Friday, 25 April 2003 16:04 (twenty-two years ago)

anthony easton (anthony), Friday, 25 April 2003 17:06 (twenty-two years ago)

Of course, Albert Camus was a goalkeeper as well. Truth is Stranger than fiction.

12 ft lizards are, of course, brilliant at getting on the end of crosses.

Other celebrity former-goalkeepers include Julio Iglesias.

Dom Passantino (Dom Passantino), Saturday, 26 April 2003 00:44 (twenty-two years ago)

yes, it was for Real Madrid wasn't it? I believe he only played a couple of matches and then was injured so had to quit.

the Pope looked very like John Cleese in his younger days. Fall foul of this in a pub quiz picture round.

MarkH (MarkH), Saturday, 26 April 2003 20:04 (twenty-two years ago)
