went to see burrell collection in Glasgow last week, coppers see uh-uh as Blair was coming - scottish socialist party sent elite agitators to demonstrate (about12) and the best they could come up with was 'we all live in a terrorist regime' - sung to a beatles tune (michelle ?).

Not entirely relevant, but I’m willing to forgive the SSP a good deal on the basis of the banners they took to an SNP rally starring Sir Sean Connery: ‘SHUPPORT THE SHCOTTISH SOCIALISHT PARTY.’

'we all live in a terrorist regime' - sung to a beatles tune (michelle ?).

you must admit, this takes more guts and can only have a greater impact than if they'd sung it to the tune of 'yellow submarine'.

It's a protest version of the 'I'm Sorry I Haven't A Clue' game of 'One song to the tune of another'!

I work near the New School so the surroundings get stickered a lot by the young'uns. This particularly sticker just lacks something:

BUSH PULLOUT
YOUR FATHER SHOULD HAVE

It has the potential for being a half-way interesting joke but it's phrased soooo clunkily. I keep trying to re-write in my mind but no dice.

Michael Daddino (epicharmus), Sunday, 27 April 2003 14:26 (twenty-two years ago)

at least it doesn't say 'YOUR FATHER SHOULD OF'

Who let the bombs out? Bush, Bush and Blair...

suzy (suzy), Monday, 28 April 2003 12:07 (twenty-two years ago)

that pull out one goes at least as far back as Nixon re: Vietnam

Horace Mann (Horace Mann), Monday, 28 April 2003 16:54 (twenty-two years ago)

There is a very literate graffitti-ist in Wanganui who writes "Oust Bush" on walls. This is better than the dumb posters we have down here which just say "WAR!" I'm not sure if they are for it or against it.

isadora (isadora), Monday, 28 April 2003 21:31 (twenty-two years ago)

dumb posters we have down here which just say "WAR!"

Maybe they're not protest posters, but really tributes to the late Edwin Starr...
