DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY! Really depressing and boring mess of a film. I don't think you could find more inarticulate people to talk about Pynchon if you tried (they round up three internet mentalists, an ex-girlfriend and the well-known nutcase Jules Siegel [who claims Pynchon was implicated in the CIA's introduction of LSD to destabilise the New Left]). Only George Plimpton (who waffles charmingly) - and Prof Corey (who collected the NBA on Pynchon's behalf and contributes some nice readings) contribute very much at all. In fact, the only worthwhile thing I can take from the whole experience is a sighting of the goon who runs The Libyrinth WHO REALLY DOES LOOK LIKE HE HAS THE BEARD OF TOM EWING AND THE HAIR OF NED RAGGETT. What a fabulous chimera.

3 days later and this film still feels awful. watching the final hateful 'revelation' (of p walking with his kid... wow) was interminable

Wacky.
BTW, isn't Vineland a great and horribly underrated novel?
