we've probably done it, but my search didn't give up the goods. anyway, like it says, when you woke up and you were all "woah, it's already [x]pm!". like today, i had abt 4 hrs of sleep, i woke up at 8am to go meet someone at 9. at 8:30 they call me up to postpone till tomorrow, i go back to sleep and wake up at 4pm! then i log on to ilx and realize that my live feels like the equivalent of a rancid packet of kfc ketchup. over to you, kids.

I didn't wake up till 8:15 and class starts at 8:25. yikes!

That Girl (thatgirl), Monday, 28 April 2003 13:27 (twenty-two years ago)

Slept or awake but not wanting to move at all? In the case of the former, something like 10 am or so; the latter, one day years ago it wasn't until after noon [I intentionally wanted to see if I could stand myself to get to that point and did...just].

Ned Raggett (Ned), Monday, 28 April 2003 13:28 (twenty-two years ago)

i can't sleep late anymore, i think the latest i've slept in two years is 8am. But when I was in college I could sleep to 2pm most days.

Chris V. (Chris V), Monday, 28 April 2003 13:28 (twenty-two years ago)

That Girl, did you manage to get to class on time?

I once got up at about 3:30 pm, but that was years ago. I don't sleep very well anymore, I tend to wake up very early even on the weekend because I can't just fall back asleep.

Nicole (Nicole), Monday, 28 April 2003 13:29 (twenty-two years ago)

I have either gone to sleep or woken up probably during every hour of the day.

Aaron Grossman (aajjgg), Monday, 28 April 2003 13:29 (twenty-two years ago)

snap.

RJG (RJG), Monday, 28 April 2003 13:30 (twenty-two years ago)

That's what you get, That Girl, for IMing me at 3AM last night. I got to work at 9 AM, which is 8 your time.

There have been times, esp. in college, when I've been completely nocturnal. There was a while there when I wasn't waking up until 5, 5:30 PM. No fun.

hstencil, Monday, 28 April 2003 13:32 (twenty-two years ago)

the worst I've ever been was in my first year at college, I had to set my alarm for 5.30pm as I was working at 7

j0e (j0e), Monday, 28 April 2003 13:42 (twenty-two years ago)

At least once when I was in college, I collapsed into bed around 8am and woke up at 7pm the following day. For at least a couple hours I thought it was still the same day. Until one of my housemates asked me where I'd been the day before.

martin m. (mushrush), Monday, 28 April 2003 13:43 (twenty-two years ago)

I woke up at 3.15pm one day when I lived in Italy, after a big night the night before. I managed 2.35pm a few weeks ago after getting back from the States while still readjusting.

Mark C (Mark C), Monday, 28 April 2003 13:43 (twenty-two years ago)

You are all wussbags, I once fell asleep at noon and woke up at 8pm the next day, think about that.

Ally (mlescaut), Monday, 28 April 2003 13:54 (twenty-two years ago)

*calculates* So you were up for an entire week beforehand or something?

Ned Raggett (Ned), Monday, 28 April 2003 14:05 (twenty-two years ago)

You are all wussbags, I once fell asleep at noon and woke up at 8pm the next day, think about that.

(for Kate:)
Ally is in a natural pose, the hardest one to hold, but she holds like shes told. Ally wears her brothers clothes. Shes been thrown from home, got no where to go, but she goes.
Ally is a speed freak...

Mr Noodles (Mr Noodles), Monday, 28 April 2003 14:29 (twenty-two years ago)

Probably, about 10:30am. Yeah, it's okay, you don't have to post "wow! jel is hardcore".

jel -- (jel), Monday, 28 April 2003 15:03 (twenty-two years ago)

About 10 c'clock at night.

kate, Monday, 28 April 2003 15:04 (twenty-two years ago)

I got to class about 20 min late. I suck. I'm very nocturnal and would rather stay up all night and sleep all day. Unfortunately this doesn't mesh well with the rest of society.

That Girl (thatgirl), Monday, 28 April 2003 15:07 (twenty-two years ago)

I slept in and was an hour late for a 5:30pm shift the other day, which should really have taken more explaining than it did. I have gone to sleep/woken up at all hours of the day/night at some point, but I have never slept for more than 20 hours.

Ferg (Ferg), Monday, 28 April 2003 15:15 (twenty-two years ago)

My internal clock seems to wake me between 8:30 and 9:00 am no matter how late I've been up. I've only rarely ever slept uninterruptedly past noon. Even when I did an overnight radio show in college, I'd be up by 11:30.

mike a (mike a), Monday, 28 April 2003 15:29 (twenty-two years ago)

I once went to bed at 5 am Saturday morning and woke up at 9 am Monday

luna (luna.c), Monday, 28 April 2003 15:30 (twenty-two years ago)

Wo.
I think I've slept for 44 hrs in a 48 hr period. Thank you very much, LSD.

buttch (Oops), Monday, 28 April 2003 15:32 (twenty-two years ago)

i once slept for an entire summer. i would get up once a day to smoke or eat. yeah, i was depressed.

kephm, Monday, 28 April 2003 17:19 (twenty-two years ago)

There was a whole semester where I only had class on Tuesdays and Thursdays and would frequently sleep through dinner times in the mess hall on all the other days. As much as I hate getting up at 4 in the morning for work now, I think having a regular sleep schedule has improved my brain chemistry and well-being. That and the fact that I drop of exhaustion if I try to stay up past 9p and so can never stay up late enough to get into any trouble. I certainly did 24-hour plus sleep sessions (w/o benefit of alcohol/drugs) as an undergrad (usu. after inevitable all-nighter because I procrastinate) and it's such a mix of wonderful and horrible--really fucks with your head. Still do it when I can, though. I like sleep.

teeny (teeny), Monday, 28 April 2003 17:26 (twenty-two years ago)

For a long time, I was sleeping from 4am to 5pm every day. Now, with class and work, I get up at 7 or 8, depending on the day. And I'll usually sleep 'til 2 or 3 in the afternoon on Saturdays, to make up for the five hours of sleep the rest of the week.

miloauckerman (miloauckerman), Monday, 28 April 2003 17:57 (twenty-two years ago)

About one or two PM. If you count getting up and then going back to sleep, those times when I've spent the night at someone's house, not slept more than a couple hours, and come home and fallen into bed until midafternoon.
