Post Road #7 criticism submissions?

I was asked to post this by Hillary Chute (kinny8@hotmail.com), the Criticism Editor of Post Road, a good lit mag:

"I'm looking for submissions for the Criticism Section of Post Road, the literary magazine where I'm an editor. The piece can be up to 5,000 words--so if you have some long rant or meditation you've been harboring, here's your chance. Since the edited piece is due to the publisher's by May 15, I would need any submissions by May 10 at the very latest. This section is really wide-open --'criticism' as I'm thinking about it can be interpreted many ways, and I'm open about what the object of 'criticism' is, too! here's what I've had in the Criticism section so far:

--a Riot Girl piece by me
--"'Old Man Your Kung Fu is Useless': African-American Spectatorship and Hong Kong Action Cinema" by Tzarina Prater
--"Why Baltimore House Music is the New Dylan" by Scott Seward
--"Collateral Damages: Contexts for Thinking of the Liberation of Jamil Abul Al-Amin" by Jeremy Glick (Jeremy's in the current issue of Harper's. The piece is a transcript of his interview with Bill O'Reilly--it's really fucking amazing.)
--"Hip Hop High: Mainstream Black Culture in the White Suburbs" by
Lauren Sandler
--"Selling Out: Consumer Culture and Commodification of the Male Body" by Eric Tyrone McLeod

Post Road has national distribution and is on the web too. You can check out back issues at http://www.webdelsol.com/Post_Road

Some of Post Road's contributors have been: Julia Alvarez, Tom
Perrotta, Jonathan Lethem, Michael Moon, Stephen Burt, Melanie Braverman, Will Eno (his piece in Post Road was recently re-printed in Harper's), Robert Pinsky, Rick Moody, Jonathan Ames, Amy Hempl, Julia Slavin, Karen Volkman, E. Annie Proulx, Nicholas Dawidoff. If you know any friends who might be interested, pass this along!"
