So my website is gone for the moment. Truth be told, I don't know if it will ever be back. I got a call two days ago from my web hosting service. They say I haven't paid my monthly fee since February 2002. Hell, I hadn't noticed. It was an automatic credit card draw, and since I serve another site with them, too, I never noticed that they were only charging me for one and not two websites. And since they never once contacted me before now... Jesus. Fifteen months. It took them 15 months to pick up the phone and call. I owe them $550.

Long story short, I don't know when my site will be up, if ever. This is depressing me to no end. Writing about music is all I have to look forward to.

I just wanted to whine, I guess. Maybe some of you understand.

Oh, that's the other thing. The woman in collections is the nastiest person I have ever spoken to on the phone -- no exagguration. She argued with me about my phone number, and yelled at me about my mailing address. It was unbelievable.

Maybe I should warn you all against CIHost. Yeah, that'll show 'em.

my site has gone down again, just a few days after the server was replaced (the previous one broke down mysteriously) - what the fuck is going on with my web hosts? it really stitches me up (fume)

Kenan - I use www.arishost.com which is sehr good. $30 US for a years domain hosting and 30mb webspace. Ive never had downtime. Just my 2 cents...

In the meantime you cld. just use a free servicehost like blogspot, or even diaryland or something tho, right?

kenan: are you in the usa? maybe you should call either a local bar association, or the state attorney general's office, and explain the situation. i dunno if either would help, but since it sounds like yer situation was the fault of yer web server (and they took so long before taking action) you might not have to pay all that $$ if they raise a big enough stink.
