jess, Monday, 10 September 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

(ile readers should note that i do not actually think herr sinker is a fuckwad. in fact, i wuv him very much, if you can wuv disembodied webboard posts and a handful of articles read over the years. but he wanted rudeness, so rudeness he shall have. ;])

jess, Monday, 10 September 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Queer hack he lingers for greatness but never reaches it because, well, he's a hack whose had his time for greatness, what, 12 years ago? Never to return. Too sad for rudeness and too rude for sadness (pity). Hopefully, as trends will go, he will be working behind the counter at Sainsbury picking up on the young'uns.

Well, he did want rudeness did he not!

Alan Smithee, Monday, 10 September 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

i think: mark s vs. doom patrol

is the reason no one is directly rude to mark.

jess, Monday, 10 September 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

mark s. v. doompatrol.

that was nothing, no particular important verbiage from DP's part. It was fun and games on doompatrol's part and somehow very very important) for Mark S(hitty as in do it yourself shitty (quote from Shaft).

Mark S. is simply a hack who has turned to the internet for fame and fortune.

Nothing wrong with that.

alan smithee, Monday, 10 September 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

So you're doompatrol, is what you're saying. ;-)

Ned Raggett, Monday, 10 September 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

thank you jess

mark s, Monday, 10 September 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Yes! I have made a brief return! The bait of it all Neddy ... it was to much for me!!

Back to my evil doings and misgivings...no need to tell me to fuck off this time!!!

doomie, Monday, 10 September 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Patiently waiting for Mark S. to resurrect the Doom Patrol: Classic or Dud thread. *tip tap tip tap*

THERE you go! Some people have no consideration. I blatantly did a doompatrol by saying that I was leaving...

And yet...

I did not!

Some people. The rudeness of it all!

doomie, Monday, 10 September 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Mark S = fantastic, and more talent in his little finger than a whole roomful of Alan Smithees. Alternate personality = an alternative to having a personality.

Oh, and so original. There's your ROCK, sunshine...now go crawl back under it. *Good boyyyy*.

suzy, Monday, 10 September 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

See what I mean, Ned...

I'm feeding out negativity and crap by doing the "troll" thing and people buy into it. But I'm going to stop it man. Thanks for pointing this stuff out.

The funny thing is: am a v. v. positive person.

It's the annniversary of my father's suicide and I'm at work and I'm feeding the troll in me, the negativity black onto this board and it's not v. fair is it?

Again, Ned, sorry.

Write on, Ned the human torch.

doomie, Monday, 10 September 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

I'm flattered, though I like to think that if it wasn't me saying something that somebody else would (for those wanting a touch more context, please read towards the end of the thread here).

Ned Raggett, Monday, 10 September 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

What is wrong with everyone?

Ally, Monday, 10 September 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

it's coo' Ned.

I just came to the realization after yer one comment to me, actually the second one on the second thread about me. For some reason, seeing in writing about how much people can hate and the capacity for hate, made it easier for me? Makes sense? Probably doesnt...but since when did life make sense!!!! I was the one that gave Marcello the advice about living through a loved one's death (I sound like a funeral pamphlet, ever read one of those things, they are hilarious!)

I have been an arsehole on here. I knew and know it. But it helped me, bizarrely enough.

So thanks!

doomie, Monday, 10 September 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

No, actually, we don't buy into your troll schtick. There are a lot of people here who have also had bad things happen to them, or to people they love, but they don't go taking it out on the people they meet here. If the stuff comes up, it's part of a narrative and not some pathetic after-the-fact excuse for intransigent behaviour. Yes, pathetic. You know, for all your blethering about what you're really like (as opposed to a ringstung arsehole) you are possibly the most belligerently contrived person I have encountered in a long time.

suzy, Monday, 10 September 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Suzie, you don't know me at all. Refrain from remarking about me, please. Am I contrived? Hardly.

I was just thanking Ned for something. Go back to yer witty remarks about trolling and leave the analysis to someone else.

doomie, Monday, 10 September 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Suzie, you don't know me at all. Refrain from remarking about me, please. Am I contrived? Hardly.

I was just thanking Ned for something. Go back to yer witty remarks about trolling and leave the guidance counsellor analysis to someone else. Please.

You do not like me. I do not like you. It's coo' and it's alright, I mean, I avoid certain types of people and you avoid certain types of people (and I happen to be one of those types).

Does that make me wrong and contrived. No.

Does that make you wrong and contrived. No.

It's just the way of the world.

doomie, Monday, 10 September 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

fake mark s. rudeness thread turning into days of our doom patrol = dud.

jess, Monday, 10 September 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Oh, you stupid little boy...

suzy, Monday, 10 September 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Sorry, I take it all back. I'm a ringstung asshole.

You are v. v. right.

I hate being contrived, I hate cynics, I hate love, I hate hate and most importantly I hate you.

; - )

doompatrol, Monday, 10 September 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Nah...I don't hate you.

(just joshing...sorry about going on and on about myself today. Suppose I was trying a different approach but it has failed miserably...)

doomie, Monday, 10 September 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

I honestly hope that I never, ever find out exactly what the phrase "ringstung asshole" means. It sounds painful and wrong.

Dan Perry, Monday, 10 September 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

I am painful and wrong! Sorry for all of the blethering today. I'm not very good at using message forums "positively"....

doomie, Monday, 10 September 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

This was akin to going into a room full of vipers of doompatrol and try to explain things. Was v. hard to do, blethered about like a sheep, but did it.

Homer Simpson: In your face TO-DO list.

I still suck.

I have to go.

doomie, Monday, 10 September 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Oh no, not you again. Buzz off.

DG, Monday, 10 September 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

mark s = intermittantly queer = otherwise desperate ? if so therefore stores up big wad of fuck - probably called in by dubya to put out wtc fire wiv mighty hose like red adair 'red enda' - so may be a while before the bux finished ?

Job recommends I ring CIA ?, Monday, 17 September 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

this is certainly the excuse I shall be using from now on, andy!

mark s, Monday, 17 September 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

On June 12, 2000, Mark S wrote me that "The 'overall' Meltzer (then and now) wants to open up a vector to the Totality, without ever being (mis)taken for that Totality. He wouldn’t be so angry now if he didn’t still believe it was possible, somehow maybe, I think." I have asked Mark in the 15 months since then what the hell he means by "vector to the Totality," which seems to me to be a phrase from the language of Total Gibberish. He has yet to answer. I believe that the main reason he posts on ILE/ILM is to give him something to do that distracts him from pondering the shameful fact that he has yet to answer. My main reason for posting on ILE/ILM is to track him down, so that he'll know that he can't escape.

Frank Kogan, Monday, 17 September 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

That'll end in failure Frank, we're still trying to find out why he hates Nick Hornby.

DG, Monday, 17 September 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

At last it can be told: The 'overall' Hornby (then and now) declines to open up a vector to the Totality, yet is content to be (mis)taken for that Totality. He wouldn’t be so amiable now if he didn’t basically fail to believe in its possibility, nohow no-way.

I think. I think? I *know*...

mark s, Monday, 17 September 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

It's official: Mark's e-mail 'evazev' really does mean 'evasive'...

DG, Monday, 17 September 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

FEAST ON THIS HAHA

mark s, Wednesday, 19 September 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

v. funny link mark. 'You will notice that this is not, in fact, a thought.' I laughed and laughed and laughed and everyone in the room looked at me as if I was a freak. Then I did indeed, weep.

alex t, Wednesday, 19 September 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

i can just see mark cackling with glee as his mortal enemy is dealt a blow on the chin. (kick in the nuts?)

jess, Wednesday, 19 September 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

ten months pass...
Ahh...

davidh(owie), Saturday, 20 July 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Yes, I lied to irritate as I was working a very dull job at the time and internet drama kept me going. *hands up*
