Oh no! What is a girl to get for her bf when he is the richest man on ILX?

Sarah MCLUsky (coco), Tuesday, 13 May 2003 12:30 (twenty-two years ago)

Um, yeah, this isn't really a pointless thread...if you think you are richer than me, give examples of your ridiculous spending.

NA. (Nick A.), Tuesday, 13 May 2003 12:39 (twenty-two years ago)

You could buy a Momus member casting if you wanted to prove your ridiculous spending ability.

Mr Noodles (Mr Noodles), Tuesday, 13 May 2003 12:56 (twenty-two years ago)

Don't just boast. Share some money with us poorer ILXers to prove your wealth!

kate, Tuesday, 13 May 2003 13:21 (twenty-two years ago)

Nick Southall (Nick Southall), Tuesday, 13 May 2003 13:23 (twenty-two years ago)

Mark C (Mark C), Tuesday, 13 May 2003 13:28 (twenty-two years ago)

And my lame jokey (I'm not really rich but didn't feel like griping on the poorest man on ILX thread) pointless thread dies.....now. (Quick, someone lock it!)

Nordicskillz (Nordicskillz), Tuesday, 13 May 2003 13:50 (twenty-two years ago)

too late!

I'm not rich but I do save my pennies and then blow them on luxuries a few times a year. What's that all about? Priority-setting? I'm pretty happy with 75c of noodle soup for lunch and designer boots. Noodle soup is yummy.

teeny (teeny), Tuesday, 13 May 2003 13:51 (twenty-two years ago)

I'm going to feel SO rich once I've paid off all my student loans.. in uh... 20 years or so? I might be having some dry soup today - but cream of potato, not noodle. And the ones I buy cost closer to $1.50 a pop. I guess I lead a crazy luxurious lifestyle then. :)

Sarah McLusky (coco), Tuesday, 13 May 2003 14:02 (twenty-two years ago)

the most luxurious thing I think I've ever bought for myself was either a vacation, or a really expensive record. At least, when I am jobless soon, I can sell the latter.

I replaced my head with a solid platinum head.

When I read this, I heard it being sung by the Johns of TMBG.

nickalicious (nickalicious), Tuesday, 13 May 2003 14:12 (twenty-two years ago)

Now that's some serious bling.

j.lu (j.lu), Tuesday, 13 May 2003 17:27 (twenty-two years ago)

This was my least successful thread ever, and that's saying a lot.

Is that supposed to be an example of 1980s bling-bling?

j.lu (j.lu), Thursday, 21 August 2003 18:33 (twenty-two years ago)

So what ever happened to the "Million Dollar Hobo" tag? And where did that come from? INQUIRING MINDS WANT TO KNOW!

nickalicious the twelve dollah mack (nickalicious), Thursday, 21 August 2003 18:41 (twenty-two years ago)

Man, I thought this lesson was going to be that money DOES grow on trees. Oh, well.

Sarah McLUsky (coco), Thursday, 21 August 2003 18:41 (twenty-two years ago)

I don't remember what thread that Million-Dollar Hobo thing started on, but it was the name of a movie I found in the back of TV Guide, starring Tim Conway as someone that has to live the lifestyle of a 19th century hobo if he wants to inherit a million dollars or something. That blew my mind enough for me to change my name for a couple of days.

Haha, I saw this in New Answers and was like, "Sounds like a n/a thread." Maybe I remembered it from four years ago, but I don't think so.
