May 26th, is there any chance (now that I'm not FAP-ing) of arranging some sort of football kickabout / 5-a-side / Hyde Park / wherever affair? I love football.

Cozen (Cozen), Sunday, 18 May 2003 13:19 (twenty-two years ago)

Mark C? Cabbage? Nordicskillz? the pinefox? stevem? Ronan? Hanle y? Suzy? ethan?

Cozen (Cozen), Sunday, 18 May 2003 13:22 (twenty-two years ago)

you're not fap-ing?! why?

Julio Desouza (jdesouza), Sunday, 18 May 2003 13:23 (twenty-two years ago)

No FAP-ing on 26th, poss FAP-ing on 27th thought it is all still to be OK-ed by gf.

Cozen (Cozen), Sunday, 18 May 2003 13:25 (twenty-two years ago)

oh, i thought you weren't gonna fap at all. sorry. misread no. 137659383

Julio Desouza (jdesouza), Sunday, 18 May 2003 13:27 (twenty-two years ago)

I might be up for a gentle kickabout. I am an unfit 43 year old asthmatic, so limited running will be done, but I used to be pretty good at football, several decades ago.

Martin Skidmore (Martin Skidmore), Sunday, 18 May 2003 13:37 (twenty-two years ago)

(Only suzy is allowed: my rules!)

("Come one, come all", obv.

Cozen (Cozen), Sunday, 18 May 2003 13:41 (twenty-two years ago)

this sounds good to me, i'll turn up even if no-one else does - and if it rains we can go to pub

stevem (blueski), Sunday, 18 May 2003 13:45 (twenty-two years ago)

I'll come along (probably).

jel -- (jel), Sunday, 18 May 2003 14:26 (twenty-two years ago)

I could well be up for this, yes, as I haven't played yet this year.

chris (chris), Sunday, 18 May 2003 17:15 (twenty-two years ago)

Moi aussi.

Dave B (daveb), Monday, 19 May 2003 09:46 (twenty-two years ago)

Ooh I like this kind of thing. I will possibly attend to watch from the sidelines with a picnic if any less energetic attendees fancy doing the same...

If not I will be at home playing Zelda, sorry.

Sarah (starry), Monday, 19 May 2003 10:04 (twenty-two years ago)

I can't make it this time, but would love to do this if it happens later on. Maybe a rematch v Sinistah?

Dr. C (Dr. C), Monday, 19 May 2003 10:33 (twenty-two years ago)

I know we're 7-0 down after the first leg, but it's a game of two halves Brian...

Dr. C (Dr. C), Monday, 19 May 2003 10:45 (twenty-two years ago)

I'll be there, if it's Monday afternoo, somewhere in London. I even have a ball I can bring.

Daniel (dancity), Monday, 19 May 2003 11:45 (twenty-two years ago)

I am up for sitting at the side like a girl.

Matt DC (Matt DC), Monday, 19 May 2003 12:00 (twenty-two years ago)

Wow, I might actually get to use those football boots I bought in the nike outlet store, and play like a girl (natch)

I'll try not to break my ankle this time.

Vicky (Vicky), Monday, 19 May 2003 12:07 (twenty-two years ago)

Is it bad form to vomit during games through exhaustion?

Dave B (daveb), Monday, 19 May 2003 12:10 (twenty-two years ago)

Good plan Matt - this also means that we can bring some rum and coke to sip throughout the match and offer some to the players at half time and then giggle as they fall over. Dutch courage et al, you know...

Sarah (starry), Monday, 19 May 2003 12:17 (twenty-two years ago)

I'm asthmatic and I have a dodgy leg. And very unpractical shoes. If it's a nice day, I might come and sip orange juice.

Nordicskillz (Nordicskillz), Monday, 19 May 2003 12:19 (twenty-two years ago)

It's nothing I haven't done before Dave!

chris (chris), Monday, 19 May 2003 12:35 (twenty-two years ago)

Is this gonna go ahead? Where, when?

Cozen (Cozen), Wednesday, 21 May 2003 09:51 (twenty-two years ago)

I'm free all day Monday, nothing to do until the evening, FAP the next day, football is a grand idea.

Cozen (Cozen), Wednesday, 21 May 2003 09:52 (twenty-two years ago)

I might be able to do it if it's daytime - I'm supposed to be playing in another game in the evening. Both depend on whether my ribs have recovered - I played a game in Glasgow on the weekend, but every time an opposition player (specifically: Jerry the Nipper) came near me I'd scream like a girl and run off the pitch if I got barged.

Somewhere central for the convenience of all? Regent's Park?

Mark C (Mark C), Wednesday, 21 May 2003 10:00 (twenty-two years ago)

good call, nice flat pitches, near the elephants?

chris (chris), Wednesday, 21 May 2003 10:03 (twenty-two years ago)

Somewhere central would be best for me, since I'm London clueless.

(JtN shoulda asked me to play in Glasgow :(

Oh... he kinda did. Oh.)

Cozen (Cozen), Wednesday, 21 May 2003 10:06 (twenty-two years ago)

Regents park is the best central place really. and there are elephants (or hav ethey been shipped out to Whipsnade? in which case....BEARS!!!)

chris (chris), Wednesday, 21 May 2003 10:19 (twenty-two years ago)

K., I'll ask my London-savvy gf about this, should be fine, what time? Someone bring a ball!

Cozen (Cozen), Wednesday, 21 May 2003 10:24 (twenty-two years ago)

Regents Park sounds good to me

stevem (blueski), Wednesday, 21 May 2003 11:01 (twenty-two years ago)

I thought it was gonna be Hyde Park, I was gonna get there by bus.

jel -- (jel), Wednesday, 21 May 2003 15:59 (twenty-two years ago)

Shanks' pony!

Cozen (Cozen), Wednesday, 21 May 2003 16:16 (twenty-two years ago)

jel you can take the 27

stevem (blueski), Wednesday, 21 May 2003 16:55 (twenty-two years ago)

Can we narrow it down a touch? Meeting people we don't know (Cozen) when we just say 'Regent's Park' holds some risks, I think.

Martin Skidmore (Martin Skidmore), Wednesday, 21 May 2003 18:02 (twenty-two years ago)

oh martin, haven't you heard of psychoparkgeography :) we'll all just like drift together maaaaan...

i'm up for the sitting at the side watching thing, as long as it's not raining.

CarsmileSteve (CarsmileSteve), Thursday, 22 May 2003 08:02 (twenty-two years ago)

("Turns out, I won't be able to make it to Londres :(")
