Down With Love (the movie)

I saw this last night. Nick and I were one of only three couples in the whole theater, but (and I could tell by all the laughter) we all loved it. All the sillyness, costumes, and brightly colored sets made me giddy. I couldn't stop smiling. And for the rest of the night I kept breaking out in song and dance.

Anyone else seen this?

Does it/can it equal the likes of Pillow Talk or not? (And isn't Tony Randall actually in this film too?)

I want to if for nothing else than I like period pieces and Ewan is so yummy.

Is it a musical, I kept hearing the Doris Day comparisons which suggests yes, but I really don't want to hear Ewan sing again.

No, it's not. But there's a cute dance number as the credits roll at the end.

He can't dance either.

Does he get his cock out like all his other films too?

That's for the sequel, Up With Lust.

Man, that's the best thing about Ewan flicks.

I was pleasantly surprised by this movie. I was expecting a fairly straight romantic comedy, albeit a period piece, but it's much more ridiculous than that. It's essentially a parody of the '60's screwball comedy, very silly and very funny. I don't really like Ewan, and this movie didn't change my mind that much, but everyone else was great and funny.
Don't worry, although the Ewan cock is not exhibited, it is heavily implied.

the bring it on director made it so I am a bit curious. the presence of zelweger means I will be waiting for the dollar theater though.

I saw a trailer for it and the set design, etc. looked fantastic

Well I love screwball comedies so these are good signs.
