I felt bad about that Stevem - I had intended to come. I have moaned enough here about my ex lately, but I got a really nasty, hate-filled letter from her on Friday, and really didn't feel like going out. I felt that not curling up in a ball and crying was about the best I could manage that day.

nah its fine really...there have been a lot of birthdays this month anyway. also there would've been nowhere for you guys to sit as we got to the Glasshouse too late and had to wait about an hour or so before getting some half decent seats for about 10 people. it would've been a nightmare if more had turned up in that respect.

Much as Cozen will be missed, one missing person is not significant in terms of a football match. Actually I'd be just as keen to meet some fans to watch the 1st division playoff final, one of the biggest and most exciting games of every season. Or we could do both, play before or after sitting in a pub watching the game.

Okay, Mark C and I have agreed on the one pub we could think of by Regent's Park, namely the Green Man opposite Great Portland Street tube. If it's not called the Green Man it's still the large pub opposite said station. We plan to get there about 2.30pm tomorrow, Monday. Cozen is definitely coming, so tell your friends, especially anyone who might fancy kicking a football around.

There was football, but on a very small scale. Me, Dave B and his mate Simon, Mark C and Cozen, and after I dropped out due to advanced years and no fitness another young man I didn't know joined in. Still, a good time was had in one pub before and another after, I think, and it was great to meet Cozen.

I think it's the first time I can remember being the worst player on the pitch. Part of that was down to being old and unfit (I'm a very bad asthmatic, and that hits me very quickly these days), but Simon in particular was a class apart - this man was once on Middlesbrough's books!
