Dating a porn star... classic or dud?

I'd like to date a lap dancer... I can see the appeal in that. But I'd never date a porn star. That would be way too akward. What do you wonderful ILXers think?

Anyone on particular you'd like to bring home? I think Traci Lords is hawt but she's now made excuses for her past. I've only ever seen one full length porn flick - but from watching "Laid Bare" on Channel 5 (half hour 'behind the scenes' programme shown at evenings) I have to say that this bird called Kira Kener looks pretty hot. A mate of mine keeps banging on about Jill Kelly. I Googled her and didn't see much appeal personally.

I saw my first full length porn flick earlier in the year - borrowed from a pal. It was called "The Opening of Misty Beethoven" and is suppossed to be a classic. It was terrible. Utterly shit, but there was one kinda hot scene at the end where the lead woman finally got it on...

I don't think I'd go so far as to call myself a star...

Dear god, the first movie I saw stoned was also the first porno I ever saw... "Caligula: The Unrated Version". Does that even count as porn, or just trash? Anyways that's the only porn I've sat through all of, and I don't think I'd be chasing down anyone in that movie anytime soon.

The first porno I saw was with Marilyn Chambers, but I forget the name at the moment. My friend who I saw it with suggested I play with my dick during it, and I wish I had, because I'm sure he would have done so with me.

Maybe I'm drunk, but that's the bittersweetest thing I've ever read on ilx.

Isn't "Misty Beethoven "one of those Radley Metzger "art" porns?

Ha--once I went to see "Ashes of Time" at midnight . There were a bunch of suspicious-looking middle-age men surrounding me, which didn't seem right. About 20 seconds into the movie I realized it was the "classic porn" series and "Ashes of Time" was showing downstairs.

I hate the fucking Coolidge Corner theater.

Yes, but do you know what Calz? It's illegal to be a lapdancer in America unless you have had prior experience in the pornography industry. This is a little known regulation but rules out the discretion you wish to apply. Perhaps you could move to France, where I believe labour unions are striking against the requirement?

About 20 seconds into the movie I realized it was the "classic porn" series and "Ashes of Time" was showing downstairs.

this happened to me once when i went to see contempt, except i was eyed suspiciously by a half dozen middle-aged men in the lobby before the film - which turned out to be this - started.

the plot summary actually sounds cool and i wish i'd stuck around for it now.
