I wanted Agnes Talk and your going to get it ! Agnes Martin And Bruce Nauman live w/i twenty km of each other in the new mexico deseret. They are 40 years apart but often talk. There art diverges radicallly but i still think it is interesting they have so much to discuss .

she does minimalist drawings and paintings, in subtle grey , ochre and purple tones. Explores the mediums. VEry good at making the light in her canvases undualte. She is in New Mexico and hates ( beyond hates) NYC or any city. Therefore although suzy surely knows about her , i do not think she likes her very musch.

one of her paintings (Untitled #12, 1977, to be exact) is at the Art Institute of Chicago and i am always utterly mesmerized by it. I just stare at it for a while, until one of my friends drags me away.

oh cuz i am completely obsessed with agnes martin, i am saving up until april to travel to macklin saskatchewan to visit the town she was born and then follow the path of her life to where she died in Tao, new mexico, i have been planning this for several years
