Fake merchandise

Has anyone ever brought something from a reputable shop & later found it to be fake? Also, do you know where you stand legally with this? Basically, i brought a pair of expensive (£150) trainers in march & i am not sure that they are real. :-(

Any thoughts (apart from 'you deserve it spending that amount on trainers') would be appreciated.

Talk to local trading standards, or the shop itself.

Fake as in what? You buy a t-shirt and it turns out to be a rollerskate, or made of cardboard boxes? How are your trainers not real? Are your socks suspiciously wet after you go for a rainy day walk? This is a thorny existentialist issue.

Fake as in they're supposed to be nikes, but i think they are an immitation of the real thing.
