Madonna - mother of Lourdes, six, and Rocco, two, - has criticised what she called "vapid and vacant" books that offered no lessons in life for younger readers.

I find Madonna horribly pompous- in a Streisand kind of way- she talks about herself in a hushed, reverential tone. It is inane and ridiculous.
