I was just thinking about him the other day, actually. I will one day watch To Kill a Mockingbird but I want to read the book first. For appearing in a movie that was eventually MSTied but not being a bad actor at all, RIP.

I've got the book and the video. Both are wonderful, and I can't recommend them highly enough. He was one of the best. I'm incredibly saddened to hear about this.

Don't forget to check out the original Cape Fear while yr at the videostore, though that's more Robert Mitchum's show.

The phrase "Clogs Popped" is one I've never heard before. Bless you, Gregory Peck, for providing the circumstances to hear of it.

We watched Roman Holiday several months ago and it was kind of weird because Peck's character is supposed to be kind of sleazy and immoral at first, but Gregory Peck just can't really pull off immoral. He just always seems upstanding and kind of square.

he was a mediocre actor i think but he managed to be in a lot of good movies. he's actually not bad in "pork chop hill."

I always liked him, particularly in Roman Holiday (one of the few times Audrey Hepburn was teamed with a guy who seemed worthy of her) and Spellbound (not one of my fave Hitch's, tho he was fine in it) and of course Mockingbird. I'm also one of the few who thinks he was quite good in Huston's Moby Dick.

He had a great nose. Probably still does and will for a few months.

Thank you for that thought, Lara.

You've read every other book in the whole wide world, you should read this.

So I've gathered. There's a Folio Society edition I have my eye on.
