Not the SF movie. Did anyone see Have I Got News For You tonight, as presented (and half turned into the Generation Game) by Bruce Forsythe? Extraordinary stuff, and I recommend UK viewers catching the repeat tomorrow if they missed it. Merton was almost in hysterics at one point.

caught a bit - i love Brucie and can't help but chuckle when he is on TV so i'll look out for the repeat. i think the guest presenter format is actually working out quite well all in all, i don't think they should bother looking for a permanent new presenter and just keep rotating a set of around 20 instead. not Charlotte Church again tho perhaps...

I have taped it and will be watching it later.

Best guest presenters so far:

Hugh Dennis, Charlie Kennedy, Martin Clunes, William Hague

Worst:

Charlotte Church, Paul Merton

i still don't understand why Clive Anderson doesn't present it. John Bird (the shorter one of Bird & Fortune i think) would also be good.

B-but Clive Anderson is rubbish - he's too bumbling (I think it might have been him who captained Paul Merton's team when Merton was presenting).

Oh, and obviously classic - Boris Johnson
