When I was about 5, I drew all over my dad's books in blue marker pen (sorry dad). As punishment my colouring pens were confiscated, and put on top of my wardrobe (maybe I should've got a chair and climbed up and got them, but this never occured to me at the time). So, I've come to view confiscation as the worst possible punishment.

my brother and i used to play football...INSIDE the house. after a smashes ornament my beleaguered mother rightly confiscated the sponge ball we were using.

I don't recall my parents confiscating anything, prob. because they knew there'd be more trouble as I pulled the house to bits looking for my stuff than if they just left me with the offending item

I got my Sega Gamegear confiscated after I shouted at my three year old brother for throwing a wet j-cloth at it while I was playing Lemmings.

my beastie boys/ministry/napalm death/gnr cassettes were confiscated cos they were profane and I was a pretty violent kid.
