application forms :(

I'm filling out a local government application form this afternoon (not very exciting!!!) I have about 9 points to address "you should give examples where possible of how and where you have demonstrated these. It is not sufficient to say I can, I am able or I believe etc." But, if you don't have direct experience, makes it difficult no?...

The point I'm struggling on is:
"an understanding of news media, and the news agenda for local authorities"...The answer seems obvious, but hard to ellaborate on!

Also, if anyone knows alot about press offices and the issues facing local govt and services, I'd appreciate it! ;)

Anyway, what do you think of application forms? A complete hassle or essential for selecting good candidates? Would you ratehr just send in a CV?

Try american visa forms. There are reasons why kafka worked in a government office.
