True Love (or more likely, I've lost my mind)

Most of you guys know that Coastie boy & I had a huge fight & broke up in April. We both dated other people for a while, or tried to... and we just started talking again a two weeks ago.

After much "I'm sorry, I acted like a kid" on both sides, we kind of came to the realization that neither of us was going to ever be happy with someone else and that we were really head over heels in love with each other. Anyway, we just got back together, and I'm flying out to Rhode Island to see him this weekend. He becomes an XO on his boat in the Great Lakes in about 3 weeks, but we decided that being together meant more than all the craziness that this is going to entail. Anyway. I can't believe that he's nuts enough to want to get together again too. I can't believe that I'm this much in love with someone to do this. I have no idea how it's going to work, but I'm so deliriously happy- this is almost unreal...One part of me thinks I'm totally nuts, and the other part knows that this is the right thing to do.

Yeah, so this is really way too sappy, "true love triumphs over two busy jobs & airline schedules" for ILX, but I just was too blissed out not to share. Geesh, and I'm usually never this crazy, but I'm SOOOOOOO happy right now.

Ok, to make this vaguely topical: I've been playing Belle & Sebastian's Tigermilk, because to me it's the best CD for delirously happy evenings. But what other albums/singles are great for feeling super silly & happy?

New Pornographers: Mass Rromantic
t.A.T.u: 500mph in the Wrong Lane
Bounty Killer: Booty Booty Gimme dat Booty
Teenage Fanclub: anything at all

(okay, I made up the Bounty Killer one)

Me and the missus-to-be have been feeling happy to Hits by Adam And, D-d-don't Stop The Beat by Junior Senior, and Andrew's fictional Bounty Killer album reminds me to mention Booty Bounce by Various Artists, which has given us great pleasure over the years.

Lyra, good on you I reckon. It may be 'nuts' but fo it anyway, you'll have a ball! (from a fellow sappy romantic)

Hi, lyra. I moved from Louisiana back up to Virginia so I could be with my bf and we've been together over 4 and a half years! woo hoo!

The album that can make me chortle with joy, lyra, is "The Langley School's Music Project." Hillarious and completely infectuous in the enthusiasm and energy.

My other half is moving 4,700 miles to be with me (well, that's the happy side effect, anyway), so I know how you feel and wish you all the love and happiness and success you could wish for :)

'Cosmic Thing' by the B-52s is a happy time for all. Except Ricky Wilson.
