Bizzarely, I discovered today that my dad's chiropractor is none other than Terry Chimes, sometimes Clash drummer and now back doctor. That was shortly after discovering that my brother's friend CF, who everyone thought was a damn weirdo and was a prominent figure of fun for a long time for his habit of talking like a 1950s public schoolboy is an almost lifelong Molesworth fan. IT ALL MAKES SENSE NOW, you see. So, found out anything bizarre lately?

[NEW ANSWERS, yes indeed]

The transition from Clash drummer to chiropractor is sort of disturbing, actually.

But true.

Another fame - chiropody transition: 80s footballing sensation and youngest player ever to take part in the World Cup finals: Norman Whiteside.

Here's one; in high school me and a buddy of mine would always laugh hysterically when this Campbell's soup commercial would come on featuring some kid dancing around the kitchen or some such nonsense. A couple years later, the same kid ended up being my friend's roommate in college. When I met him, I wanted to laugh, but didn't.

Remember the taller of Anthony Michael Hall's two geek friends from Sixteen Candles? "Score...direct hit." The actor's name is Darren and he ended up being a KLA DJ at UCLA and one of the first people I met there. Friendly guy!

Bizarre fact = DG's bizarre fact was Stevie T's bizarre fact a few years ago.

You know the kid with big head from So I Married an Axe Murderer? My, um ... friend bought drugs from him once.

Wait -- not in a skeezy, off-the-street kind of way. Just like a peer-to-peer transaction. He's doing fine.

I had a temp job at CBS when I first moved to LA in '97. The computer guy was Johnny Whittaker from Family Affair. Before he came to install my computer, my co-workers warned me--"Don't call him Jody! He hates that!" One day he came in with two black eyes. He obviously didn't want to talk about it. A couple of days later we had a new computer man

I called a moving service to hire a man with a van in New York a few years ago. The mover was Richie Stotz from the Plasmatics. He did a great job.

But! But! My bizarre fact isn't that Mr Chimes IS a chiropractor, it's that he's MY DAD'S chiropractor. Unless that was Stevie T's fact as well, in which case I'll just crawl back under my stone.

wasn't Terry Chimes sacked form the Clash because of his bad "habit" or was it because he was rubbish I ca't remember, he did have a great alias though - Tory Crimes.

When we were in Florida waiting for the bus, we started chatting with a couple. Apparently they had been in Bruges the week before. Blurts out the woman "Ooooh we visited the nicest shop!". After we asked her to describe how it looked, we discovered she was talking about our shop.
A friend I visited in Bristol, mentioned a friend who knew of me. Her friend was on the same mailing list. I emailed her. We started talking and I mentioned the website of my parents' shop. She emailed me back:"I was in that shop!" My mom even remember her (after I showed a pic of her).
