Erm, don't you know of a more TECHNICAL way of doing that...?

This morning I saw two guys painting double yellow lines at the edge of the road...with a BRUSH! And they were using a PLANK as a ruler so they got their lines straight! People in the cars & bus in the adjacent traffic jam were laughing at them.

Don't they normally use a machine to do this? Give yr examples of things you've seen being done the hard way....

Yeah, when they were building the new underpass at work there were basically two guys with a paintbrush trying to do white lines freehand. The completed cycle route divider is unsurprisingly wonky.

But sometimes the more technical way is not necessarily better...

modified wheelbarrow, or indeed a powered vehicle! I suppose its largely dependent on the stretch of road they were expected to cover..."We want you to reach the coast by nightfall...OR YOU DON'T GET PAID!"
