Nothing to do with gay bishops, but is this a joke?

Matt DC (Matt DC), Monday, 7 July 2003 12:44 (twenty-three years ago)

Aw look, they are sponsored by Haribo.

Archel (Archel), Monday, 7 July 2003 13:48 (twenty-three years ago)

I don't think it's a joke, hmmm, good for them. Unless, they are the polyphonic spree.

Hold up...isn't that Adam Yauch???

nickalicious (nickalicious), Monday, 7 July 2003 14:57 (twenty-three years ago)

I'd rather roll up the rim for Jesus.

Rim jobs for Jesus?

I'm Passing Open Windows (Ms Laura), Monday, 7 July 2003 19:18 (twenty-three years ago)

I don't see anything foreign or unusual about this, especially since I've joined up with the parish I'm currently an active member of. The parish's pastor, Fr. Bob Hogan, is a huge basketball fan and former basketball player who has brought along his basketball to assist with some of his sermons in the past.

Oh, wait, here's a picture:

He's the one to the furthest left.

I think it's the juxtaposition of ZZ Top-bearded friars slam-dunking on the basketball court which is throwing people off.

The first thing I thought of after reading this thread title:

B-b-but my pastor has a beard! Granted, it's certainly not even close to ZZ Top proportions, but it's a beard.

Wonder how good they are and if they incorporate basketball into their preachings....

franscians have always been of the world but not in it in a way that christ would have loved, i am all for blasphemy most days, but this is a really wonderful thing, and i thot deserved more respect.
