gareth (gareth), Tuesday, 8 July 2003 09:45 (twenty-two years ago)

stevem (blueski), Tuesday, 8 July 2003 09:51 (twenty-two years ago)

£144 inc taxes though. I want some money.

Ed (dali), Tuesday, 8 July 2003 09:53 (twenty-two years ago)

I thought this thread was about frozen food delivery and it's not and now I'm pissed off that I can't go on holiday EVER.

Archel (Archel), Tuesday, 8 July 2003 09:55 (twenty-two years ago)

?

Ed (dali), Tuesday, 8 July 2003 09:56 (twenty-two years ago)

Archel made a wager with the God over the contents of this thread.

N. (nickdastoor), Tuesday, 8 July 2003 10:08 (twenty-two years ago)

HOORAY!!! I JUST GOT MY HOLIDAY APPROVED!!!

Where shall I go? Let me guess. WILTSHIRE! I am so boring.

kate (kate), Tuesday, 8 July 2003 10:11 (twenty-two years ago)

To clarify: I'm pissed off at the REMINDER that I can't go on holiday.

Archel (Archel), Tuesday, 8 July 2003 10:39 (twenty-two years ago)

Oops, sorry.

kate (kate), Tuesday, 8 July 2003 10:40 (twenty-two years ago)

Archel, why can't you go on holiday? don't they have laws in england about statutory minimum paid holiday entitlements?

DV (dirtyvicar), Tuesday, 8 July 2003 12:39 (twenty-two years ago)

Oh I have four weeks off work every year. It's just that I don't have any money to GO anywhere.

Archel (Archel), Tuesday, 8 July 2003 12:50 (twenty-two years ago)

If only 'paid holiday' meant the company paid for you to go on hoilday...

Archel (Archel), Tuesday, 8 July 2003 12:50 (twenty-two years ago)

Yeah, that'd be great. I'd go to Scotland or somewhere cool that didn't require me getting in one of those awful flying toothpaste tubes. (That said, you can get to the Continent by train now,so that might not be so bad, but it would require a passport.)

Maybe we should start a thread for whinging about the holidays we'd like to be having!

kate (kate), Tuesday, 8 July 2003 12:54 (twenty-two years ago)

you can get to the Continent by train now

yes, I did that last month. And the train was an hour late, which means that I only have to present my ticket when I buy another Eurostar ticket and I get the new one half price! However, i don't plan to be going to France in the near future....maybe I can buy a half-price ticket for someone else? But will that mean they then have to pretend to be me.....hmmmmmmm.

MarkH (MarkH), Tuesday, 8 July 2003 13:09 (twenty-two years ago)

This is the thread where we whinge about the holidays that we'd like to be having...

kate (kate), Tuesday, 8 July 2003 13:12 (twenty-two years ago)

two weeks pass...
What is Wiltshire like?

Mary (Mary), Tuesday, 22 July 2003 16:45 (twenty-two years ago)

That factory outlet at the old railway place is quite good, but otherwise I don't think Wiltshire is anything special, really.

I thought this thread was going to be about ordering frozen pizza.

C J (C J), Tuesday, 22 July 2003 16:50 (twenty-two years ago)

Wiltshire is the crop circle capital of the UK

stevem (blueski), Tuesday, 22 July 2003 16:57 (twenty-two years ago)

Aren't crop circles made by bored people with planks of wood strapped to their feet?

C J (C J), Tuesday, 22 July 2003 17:26 (twenty-two years ago)

Yes, luckily Wiltshire is also the bored people with planks of wood strapped to their feet capital of the UK.

N. (nickdastoor), Tuesday, 22 July 2003 17:37 (twenty-two years ago)

It's odd that no-one has ever thought to build a snow dome in Swindon then.

C J (C J), Tuesday, 22 July 2003 17:56 (twenty-two years ago)

Wiltshire is where I grew up. Pretty but boring.
