What the fuck! On google's latest toolbar, is google's own site the only one that gets 10/10 in its "importance" ranking system? Even Yahoo, CNN, and the whitehouse only get 9/10! Can anyone find anything "more important" than google?

I am starting to think that Google is the Blue Cat and that we are all being lured to an untimely death. But where is our Dougal?

Why not, I can't think of the last time I was at www.yahoo.com . If you not American whitehouse and CNN don't really carry that much weight.

In my little world nothing is more important than Google.

i know CNN is flawed, as is the white house without a DOUBT, but still, it strikes me as odd than no one matches google's "importance" according to its own gauge.

the importance is based primarily on page hits right? Google.com is surely the most popular default browser page in the world? and surely the most visited website in the world (bearing in mind internet usage in the West still dwarfs everywhere else)...if i am any kind of barometer then this is true (use it several times a day, every day)

but is it right that there's only one 10/10? seems silly to me, even downright megalomaniacal.

You teel me what the ratings are useful for anyway, and I might try to defend the 10/10. Otherwise, who cares?

it's supposed to be for determining the "trustworthiness" of a site.

King Kobra (King Kobra), Tuesday, 8 July 2003 19:42 (twenty-two years ago)

okay, i think i was wrong with that last comment about "trustworthiness." I swear i remember reading that, but it's not mentioned on google's pagerank explanation page.
