Because, for me, to see is to squeeze.

Argh, gah, squeezing pimples... bad for your pores! I try not to squeeze them unless they're someplace very very obvious where they will annoy me. But then I'll do something stupid like dry myself too roughly with a towel and the head will come off anyway.

I used to have a friend who LIVED to squeeze pimples so much she started squeezing everyone around her's pimples as well. I got incredibly irritated by this - no, they're my pimples, leave them alone and OW THAT HURTS!!! QUIT IT!!!

So perhaps I'm oversensitive.

I don't but suzy has to be fought off from trying to squeeze mine.

Ed (dali), Wednesday, 9 July 2003 07:25 (twenty-two years ago)

(Suzy is not the friend in question, FYI)

kate (kate), Wednesday, 9 July 2003 07:25 (twenty-two years ago)

Um, did your friend, like, do that in public? Please say yes, it's way grosser that way! I can kind of see doing that if it's...I dunno...your boyfriend of like 2 years and you say, "That's gross, mind?" and they say ok. In other situations, that just ain't right. And it's not even really right in the situation I named as being kind of sort of alright.

Thanks for clarifying that, Kate!

Ed gets these really tiny but extremely chartreuse spots which heal within a day (or is it an hour, grrr) if lanced; otherwise the alternative is a few days more of looking at little green zit heads which you only notice waaaay up close ie. only if you're me. And spots drive me crazy at the best of times, though none of these are in any danger of hitting the mirror with a giant stream of angry sebum.

(happy breakfasting, everyone!)

stop trying to squeeze my spots, only you notice them.

an ex girlfriend had this habit of squeezing mine despite many pleas to cease and desist. it's like picking somebody's nose.

this aside a pimple that doesn't pop can be bloody painful.

I have a friend how does this too, I'm glad to see I'm not the only one. The funniest thing was, when I was bald, I used to have pimples in my scalp, and she loved to squeeze 'em in public places. I'll have to admit, though, that I do get some perverse pleasure out of it. It's like someone wiping your ass for you.

Moderator, please wipe my ass, I'm out of toilet paper!!!

(A joke that only Noodles will understand)

kate (kate), Wednesday, 9 July 2003 10:46 (twenty-two years ago)

Of course i do, but not in public. As said on my captain pimple thread I get the oily buggers. And I squeeze so hard sometimes they bleed and scab over. Which is wonderful when I have a fucking huge red cut in the middle of my head. Looks hot.

I've never squeezed a spot since the age of about 13, I thought it was the absolute absolute kiss of death and would lead to no end of disfigurement and horror when I got older. Was I misinformed about this?

Yes. Horror ensues, no matter what you do.
