You have to come up with a brand new subject to do your first round in if you win don't you?
So you could spend a lifetime gathering knowledge and embedding it in your memory so it was retrievable and then nt be able to use it for a competition you might be even more stressed out by if it gets you into the next round. I mean obviously you're going to need to have picked up enough general knowledge to get through that round too but do wonder if that specialist thing screws people up a lot.
NOt sure what teh interval between winning a programme's competition and having to come back for a final or semi final is.
& oh yeah is taht 3 loads of specialist you would have to go through to win or even more? it is more tahn 2 anyway isn't it? Or is it down to 4 people who won their first competition coming back as the final?
