i must be mad but yep for the 3rd time in 7 months i am moving house.
HOPEFULLY this time it will be for the bluddy long-term, because i hate moving house, i hate disrupting my sons life in this way and well lets face it Moving Sucks!

i was hoping to buy a home very soon, but stuff that is meant to be happening just isnt, so once again we are going to be tenants. at least this time it will be on our own, and it is a really cool house perfect for us.

so........i would appreciate Happy Moving stories right now, if you have any?

we are not moving far this time so that helps i guess - same neighbourhood etc.

im starting to wonder though, if my life as a semi-gypsy-child has created this pattern. when i was a child we moved on average every 3 years, due to my fathers job ( banker ).

best of luck with the move, donna, hope your new place works out!

I mean I mostly hope that the new place works out because moving is horrid and why isn't more furniture made out of inflatable rubber.

Good luck with the move. My last move was fairly painless because, well, it was within walking distance and I've moved so much in the past year that all my stuff was already in boxes. I've moved 7 times in 2 years! Woo!

All my friends pissed off to Glasto and didn't even offer to help. They suck. So HSA and I got a luggage trolley and moved my stuff back and forth on it. It worked quite well.

(I, too, lived a rather gypsy existence as a child, though my family moved an average of every 5 years. I don't own anything so large I can't carry it, and I pretty much keep all of my stuff in boxes unless I'm using it.)

Moving as a kid is really hard. I hated having to leave the house I'd spent the first 9 years of my life in.

Donna, I hope you find somewhere fixed soon.
