stevem (blueski), Thursday, 10 July 2003 02:24 (twenty-two years ago)

you sleep now, ok?

gabbneb (gabbneb), Thursday, 10 July 2003 02:25 (twenty-two years ago)

I thought I was being burgled so couldn't sleep because my furtive little ears wouldn't let me so stayed up and watched Richard Blackwood conduct a Yoof Debate. And now I want to sleep but I'm up.

Cozen (Cozen), Thursday, 10 July 2003 02:25 (twenty-two years ago)

oh god that Richard Blackwood thing is atrocious - he can't read an autocue properly and doesnt seem to have a clue whats going on half the time. how does this guy get work? no wonder he went bankrupt etc.

stevem (blueski), Thursday, 10 July 2003 02:42 (twenty-two years ago)

at least by not sleeping you can say to people today 'last night i kept on til the breaka dawn, fools'

stevem (blueski), Thursday, 10 July 2003 02:43 (twenty-two years ago)

'Fools' = my parents and little brothers?

Cozen (Cozen), Thursday, 10 July 2003 02:44 (twenty-two years ago)

drifted off about 4.30 this morning - last night's heat was bad - on top of that i just cannot turn my brain off at night, it seems to be when i have my best ideas. and some fuck is always drilling at 8 in the morning down my street so i am quite narked off - Channel 4 showing Ed at 11am kinda soothes me tho.

I read somewhere that lemon balm tea is supposed to be a very good cure for insomnia. Put a handful of fresh lemon balm leaves into a cup, pour on some boiling water, and leave to infuse for a few minutes, strain and sip. It's supposed to induce blissful peaceful slumber.

C J (C J), Wednesday, 16 July 2003 12:42 (twenty-two years ago)

Chamomile tea works pretty well for me. The problem is I never have any in the apartment or if I do I will have completely forgotten about it at the time I'm worrying about not getting any sleep.

Nick Apollo Forte (Jody Beth Rosen), Monday, 19 July 2004 11:16 (twenty-one years ago)

three weeks pass...
Last night was horrible due to the humidity I only slept about an hour and there wasn't even a decent thunderstorm in the end - only caught one flash and a couple of rumbles. My room is strangely the warmest in the house in Summer and the coldest in Winter. Now I feel like I'm going to collapse any second.

the neurotic awakening of s (blueski), Monday, 9 August 2004 08:47 (twenty-one years ago)

Yeah, last night was ick. No sleep. And today the air feels like treacle. But the office is far too warm (it got to 36degC last week) so I'm going to find it hard not to fall asleep at my desk.
