Personal Time Train Tables. Just put in two cities in europe and get all the train connections between the two. This is pretty exciting stuff if you ask me.

I knew this was an Ed thread before I even clicked on it. I also just knew that it would be about trains. Am I psychic?

I'm possibly gareth!

youneverknow (Oops), Thursday, 10 July 2003 07:34 (twenty-two years ago)

ed that is not that flexible. for instance, you cannot get a route by chossing 'berkhamsted' and 'moscow' as yr dep. and arrivbla points.
therefore it is useless.

i demand to know exactly how it long it takes from my doorstep to paveletskaya vokzal in moscow!
theyre swiss goddammit! this is what they shouyld be good at!

you want the main timetable for that. Also the german timetable is better for that sort of thing. It tells me that the shortest journey time between berkhamsted and Moscow is 44 hours and 10 minutes.

i tried to get from warsaw to lisbon, but it came up empty!

Tad (llamasfur), Thursday, 10 July 2003 07:55 (twenty-two years ago)

Anyway one arrives in Belorusskaja vokzal.

Ed (dali), Thursday, 10 July 2003 07:56 (twenty-two years ago)

The beauty of the swiss timetable is the PDF timetables. The german timetable is more comprehensive.

re: belorusskaya. i just guessed and picked the first one i could think of that plausible (ie not leningradskaya).

44 hrs is pretty good actually.

if it didnt cost 10000x(cost of plane ticket) to travel by train then i would do that, like, in my lunch break.

ok ed, the coolest thing ever would be if you could find out how much it would cost, like without having to sned off an email form thing. bahn.de just always says 'price unavialable'. i understand that this is a total pipe dream.

ambrose (ambrose), Thursday, 10 July 2003 08:37 (twenty-two years ago)

So send off the form thing, it can't hurt.

Ed (dali), Thursday, 10 July 2003 08:39 (twenty-two years ago)

204 hrs 1 minute between Seville and Beijing

Ed (dali), Thursday, 10 July 2003 12:08 (twenty-two years ago)

216hrs 55 mins between Libon and Vladivostok

Ed (dali), Thursday, 10 July 2003 12:10 (twenty-two years ago)

ed you should be applying for jobs - seems like you have too much time on yr hands!

ambrose (ambrose), Thursday, 10 July 2003 14:38 (twenty-two years ago)

Anyone know any small villages with train stations in Portugal and Kamchatka. I need to find a longer train journey.

Ed (dali), Thursday, 10 July 2003 14:39 (twenty-two years ago)
