OK. Time for a question. How do I stop myself panicking in exams? I am meant to have taken two exams this year. First attempt: Panicked beforehand and didn't even get in. On Monday, took deferred assessment for the first one, felt fine at start, about halfway through the first question, had a panic attack, went into shock, couldn't think sraight, just had to stop. Luckily, this year doesn't count towards my degree, but next year does, and I'm quite worried this is all going to fuck up, especially since I really don't think the university will let me do coursework instead. I do know that I'm the only person who can stop this happening, but advice would be appreciated (and I'm taking counselling/ on anti-depressants etc...).

Of course, surreally, I think this means I've probably got the highest and lowest course marks this year...

A woman in Oxfam told me the other day you can buy this panic spray thing that you spray on your tongue before exams. She said you could get it from Holland & Barrett. I don't know if it actually works though...I hope you find it easier next year (I'm offering sympathy here in the absence of any genuinely helpful advice...sorry).

try to get tested on whatever you can throughout the year, it's just practice i think
