What famous, notable, or historically significant people have met their ends at the claws, horns, etc. of wild beasts?

This is something about which I am currently wondering a great deal.

I was about to say something about the ass/asp thing. As I recall, after her lover Antony died she committed suicide by allowing herself to be bitten by one.
