It's Cameron and Nush up, folks. Yay for Steph staying in another week!

j0e (j0e), Tuesday, 15 July 2003 12:11 (twenty-two years ago)

if nush stays in then we might get to see her and scott in the throes of passion (this will have all the sexuality of a pair of naked shop window mannequins)

j0e (j0e), Tuesday, 15 July 2003 12:13 (twenty-two years ago)

nush must go

mark s (mark s), Tuesday, 15 July 2003 12:13 (twenty-two years ago)

nush must go. her nervous laugh is really irritating me now.

Alan (Alan), Tuesday, 15 July 2003 12:15 (twenty-two years ago)

no - this might be our only chance to stop cameron from winning. he can't. he just can't

j0e (j0e), Tuesday, 15 July 2003 12:16 (twenty-two years ago)

THIS THREAD MUST GO

N. (nickdastoor), Tuesday, 15 July 2003 12:17 (twenty-two years ago)

Simply change the first word of this thread title to 'Nush' and voila. Two perfectly good threads. (Cameron must win!)

Archel (Archel), Tuesday, 15 July 2003 12:18 (twenty-two years ago)

Cameron looks like the kind of man who wanks off in public toilets

j0e (j0e), Tuesday, 15 July 2003 12:19 (twenty-two years ago)

Do they HAVE public toilets on Orkney?

Archel (Archel), Tuesday, 15 July 2003 12:20 (twenty-two years ago)

fields. same thing

j0e (j0e), Tuesday, 15 July 2003 12:22 (twenty-two years ago)

haha now my "north sea" joke doesn't need to get made

i don't get why j0e's claim is an objection to cameron winning? (steph must win btw) (that's the real objection)

nush must go

mark s (mark s), Tuesday, 15 July 2003 12:25 (twenty-two years ago)

Cameron really really must go, he's annoyed me since day one and finally I can get the git out.

I like Nush and feel she's been unfairly lambasted.

chris (chris), Tuesday, 15 July 2003 12:28 (twenty-two years ago)

With a turkey baster? That Scott is more perverted than I thought.

Lars (Nicole), Tuesday, 15 July 2003 12:29 (twenty-two years ago)

I like cameron and feel he's been unfairly lambasted.

Alan (Alan), Tuesday, 15 July 2003 12:34 (twenty-two years ago)

I like Cameron too. I hope he stays. Nush must go because she makes Steph cry (and it's a ghastly sight).

C J (C J), Tuesday, 15 July 2003 12:56 (twenty-two years ago)

Well I think that if Cameron goes then a lot of Cameron supporters will switch their final vote to Steph to win - because the pair are supposedly bezzies etc.

STEPH TO WIN

j0e (j0e), Tuesday, 15 July 2003 12:58 (twenty-two years ago)

I certainly can't see Cameron lovers voting Ray - or Nush because she beat him in this week's vote (oh please oh please oh please)

lisa on RI:SZZZZZ this morning talking about making the house more romantic by piping in soft music and lighting candles. oh please nothing more romantic than done to death Hallmark-style gestures eh.

j0e (j0e), Tuesday, 15 July 2003 13:00 (twenty-two years ago)

That whole Whining Steph thing was really annoying; basically when girls start moaning that X is prettier/more popular/more 'pickable' than they are, it doesn't exactly reek of class and NEVER improves the situation for them. Nush didn't make her cry any more than I did.

Yesterday I went to interview this artist, Grayson Perry, who's up for the Turner Prize this go-'round. He is a Harley-riding transvestite and his wife is a psychotherapist and she's been a dream analyst on BBLB. His 'female' self Claire looks astonishingly like Lisa. Fortunately he watches BB4 religiously so appreciated the joke.

I think Cameron is a character from Alan Warner land and feel a bit sorry for Nush; I'm sure she can trade up for a better boyfriend once she's out of there. I got the impression her mum didn't think the crusty she was dating was much cop, as seems to be Not Around but insists on control. Having been the 23-year-old with a muso boyfriend on tour far away, maybe I just empathise a bit.

suzy (suzy), Tuesday, 15 July 2003 13:09 (twenty-two years ago)

I'm sure she can trade up for a better boyfriend once she's out of there

basically you are talking about Scott, yes? you better be.

chris (chris), Tuesday, 15 July 2003 13:13 (twenty-two years ago)

I always thought Lisa looked like J.K. Rowling but was too scared to make this point.

N. (nickdastoor), Tuesday, 15 July 2003 13:14 (twenty-two years ago)

suzy what d'you think of GP's actual art? He is an outre mainstay of "crafts"-world so out of loyalty i shd be pro him but i think it's a bit meh, really (he's notthing unusual technically as a maker and the collage-transfer images, well, yes they are "transgressive" but in a zzzz way... sistrah becky saw him give a lecture at a recent is-crafts-art-yet conference, as clare, and said he was very entertaining but also a bit bullying...)

nush must go

mark s (mark s), Tuesday, 15 July 2003 13:14 (twenty-two years ago)

Alan Warner Land = Lorne, surely? Argyll in general, possibly.

I bet that after they're both out, Nush and Scott will start seeing each other. It'll last about two weeks, then they'll never see each other ever again.

caitlin (caitlin), Tuesday, 15 July 2003 13:15 (twenty-two years ago)

vol six: HARRY POTTER AND THE SECRET PUB

mark s (mark s), Tuesday, 15 July 2003 13:15 (twenty-two years ago)

The steph crying thing was a tiny bit annoying, but I sympathised really - it's been her first bit of self indulgence for 8 weeks. Jon was being super insensitive and I can see the pressure of the popularity contest just spilled over a bit. She kept most of it to herself (well away from the group anyway) and in the loo.

So who voted what? My guess is that Ray tipped the balance from the Nush/Scott/Ray pact

[Ray: Nush and Cam
Scott: Steph and Cam
Nush: Steph and Cam
Cam: Nush and Ray
Steph: Nush and Scott

Nush 3, Cam 3, Steph 2, Ray and Scott 1 each. ]

JK Rowling thing was in Heat of course.

Alan (Alan), Tuesday, 15 July 2003 13:16 (twenty-two years ago)

From looking at Digital spy - Alang = spot on.

chris (chris), Tuesday, 15 July 2003 13:19 (twenty-two years ago)

Steph is being very very clever shocker. The whole single, solitary breakdown won at least Ray on her side - plus the Nush/Scott paranoia from people who really want to win means that next week we can concentrate on voting Steph to win.

Pete (Pete), Tuesday, 15 July 2003 13:20 (twenty-two years ago)

Me in agreeing with Chris shockah. Nush must stay. Cameron must go. Intelligent people taking this show seriously must go.

Mark C (Mark C), Tuesday, 15 July 2003 13:22 (twenty-two years ago)

Hurrah me and Heat in mindmeld. Does this mean I can have a job there?

N. (nickdastoor), Tuesday, 15 July 2003 13:22 (twenty-two years ago)

Would you want one?

C J (C J), Tuesday, 15 July 2003 13:24 (twenty-two years ago)

maybe they can work for you?

mark s (mark s), Tuesday, 15 July 2003 13:25 (twenty-two years ago)

Mark, strangely enough, on my way to GP's house I was thinking of you because he's equidistant from my flat/your office and obv. what he does and the way he likes to connect it to sexuality is really interesting. I like the work but oddly, the single most affecting piece he's done is the St George flag with the slave-ship cargo embroidered in a subtle way. Made me all stingy-teary-eyed when I figured out what it was. The pots are a carrier for subversion and I'm drawn to the non-transfer stuff (even though the transfers he chooses are not random by any means). In short, I could not under any circumstances produce craft-wise what he does, and I like the intellectual intent and the examination of Englishness (which is the part of it I *could* do).

I don't think anyone in the BB house is capable of tactical behaviour f'real.

suzy (suzy), Tuesday, 15 July 2003 13:36 (twenty-two years ago)

I am torn: I think Nush is really very beautiful, but Cameron may yet go crazy.

Martin Skidmore (Martin Skidmore), Tuesday, 15 July 2003 18:31 (twenty-two years ago)

what would the remaining contestants spend the money on?

stevem (blueski), Tuesday, 15 July 2003 18:47 (twenty-two years ago)

Ray is a bit tense atm, isn't he?

RickyT (RickyT), Tuesday, 15 July 2003 20:17 (twenty-two years ago)

This year's Turner coverage = tedious battle of superannuated enfants terribles while Serota and the chaps get on with deciding whether to award it to Gallaccio or Doherty?

I'd be quite relaxed about it going to any of them this year, I think they're all pretty good.

More to the point: they keep saying it's the last time they'll have to nominate. So now we just have four public votes? (One on Wed / Thurs, one on teatime Friday and one at the close of play on Friday?) If Cameron goes, will Steph be so isolated that she's teary all the time and the public tires of her (cf Sissy, still my favourite this year)?

Tim (Tim), Wednesday, 16 July 2003 09:58 (twenty-two years ago)

No, 'Nooosh' so has to go here. If she & Scott didnt get it on in the reward room, it aint gonna happen honey!! Nush has to go, Cameron has to stay to win. Oh & get Jon the f@#k outta there too!

Pinkpanther (Pinkpanther), Wednesday, 16 July 2003 10:02 (twenty-two years ago)

we'll get four next friday night - like we did last year. fuck knows when jon will be off though.

j0e (j0e), Wednesday, 16 July 2003 10:02 (twenty-two years ago)

Horrifically, Justine got more votes for re-entry than Sissy did, who came last.

N. (nickdastoor), Wednesday, 16 July 2003 10:02 (twenty-two years ago)

cunteron must go this week, I have already spent £1.50 on him and want to see some return dammit

nush must stay in and wait for more revelations about her personal life to be shouted over the wall

j0e (j0e), Wednesday, 16 July 2003 10:04 (twenty-two years ago)

N, I have lost all faith in the British public. I take it that Justine got 2 votes then?

j0e (j0e), Wednesday, 16 July 2003 10:04 (twenty-two years ago)

There is no way cameron is going to win. Unless of course it's fixed, as most of the posters on Digital Spy's forums think it is!

Cameron is not going to lose it between now and the end, so get his smug grin out of the house. I'm sure his accent's got twee-er as the programme's gone on.

It'd be hilarious to see Steph's reaction if Cameron left, and she realised she'd got to stay until the end with Nush. Ray's reaction would be interesting as well....

Vicky (Vicky), Wednesday, 16 July 2003 10:06 (twenty-two years ago)

No-one with any sense would have wasted their moey voting against Jon in that most foregone of all conclusions.

Tim (Tim), Wednesday, 16 July 2003 10:07 (twenty-two years ago)

Steph's reaction would be one of chipmunk-cheeked perkiness. I heart Steph.

j0e (j0e), Wednesday, 16 July 2003 10:08 (twenty-two years ago)

Jon is crap he shouldnt have gone back in. The only entertainment value choice would have been Lisa, but then I would've stopped watching as I cannot stand her either!! Jon with his 'I don't think the show is real enough' crap! I mean if it was 'real' everybody would be telling him how unfunny & shit he is. Nush cannot stay in!

Pinkpanther (Pinkpanther), Wednesday, 16 July 2003 10:11 (twenty-two years ago)

Fed going back in would have been brilliant.

Matt DC (Matt DC), Wednesday, 16 July 2003 10:14 (twenty-two years ago)

so far it has suited me exactly perfectly: haha ray's strop eg

nush must go

mark s (mark s), Wednesday, 16 July 2003 10:20 (twenty-two years ago)

pricktease nush must stay to increase scott's levels of sexual tension which might result in him punching jon

j0e (j0e), Wednesday, 16 July 2003 10:26 (twenty-two years ago)

As I said before, I wanted Lisa to go straight back and scare the wits out of them.

But anyway, yeah. Justine got 3% and Sissy 2%, Lisa was second but still only got about 20%, I think.

N. (nickdastoor), Wednesday, 16 July 2003 10:34 (twenty-two years ago)

surely some of this is "reality tv lightweight syndrome" = i have forgotten who they are anyway so why waste a vote?

nush must go

mark s (mark s), Wednesday, 16 July 2003 11:02 (twenty-two years ago)

After discovering that Cameron can speak fluent French and Norwegian (or something) I would love to hear how he does that. I imagine his accents might be even more hilarious than his Scottish one. I heart Cameron by the way and I am not mocking him, oh no.

C J (C J), Wednesday, 16 July 2003 11:44 (twenty-two years ago)

scott is not better looking than anyone and neither is nush.

RJG (RJG), Tuesday, 22 July 2003 15:05 (twenty-two years ago)

soctt is better looking than nush

mark s (mark s), Tuesday, 22 July 2003 15:06 (twenty-two years ago)

yeah, PF says so, too.

I do not.

RJG (RJG), Tuesday, 22 July 2003 15:08 (twenty-two years ago)

I'm sure I read somewhere that Jon is being paid something in excess of the 70K prize money for going back into the house. Perhaps BB has some leverage with him, in that if he misbehaves they won't cough up the money?

I still want Cameron to win.

C J (C J), Tuesday, 22 July 2003 15:11 (twenty-two years ago)

I still want Cameron to disappear off the face of the earth, he's a git.

chris (chris), Tuesday, 22 July 2003 15:14 (twenty-two years ago)

For a start his utter smugness whenever people have a hangover after the boring bastard has spent the night sipping water like a saggy-titted, dried up old spinster is a very punchable offence.

chris (chris), Tuesday, 22 July 2003 15:27 (twenty-two years ago)

:(

mark s (mark s), Tuesday, 22 July 2003 15:31 (twenty-two years ago)

Best cabbage post ever.

Mark C (Mark C), Tuesday, 22 July 2003 15:43 (twenty-two years ago)

Thankyou, I'm running on bile here.. BILE!!!!

chris (chris), Tuesday, 22 July 2003 15:44 (twenty-two years ago)

Careful - the CHinese will see you and decant you to make Washing Up Liquid. Its true I tell you.

Pete (Pete), Tuesday, 22 July 2003 16:00 (twenty-two years ago)

Jon should be left in the last two. That way the winner doesn't know they've won, then Davina should come in and totally surprise them. With Jon laughing his face off.

David. (Cozen), Tuesday, 22 July 2003 16:08 (twenty-two years ago)

Cameron and Jon should be the last two. Then they evict Cameron, tell Jon he's won, lots of shock and amazed looks all round, then they tell Jon they were only joking and award the prize to Cameron after all.

Actually, that sounds a bit pathetic :(

C J (C J), Tuesday, 22 July 2003 16:11 (twenty-two years ago)

haha during aurora borealis discussion, cameron explains the phenom as "the reaction between electricity and air" (which is sorta kinda true in a who-cares-anyway way) and there becomes audible the mightly silence of jon's angry brain shouting NO THAT IS WRONG THE EXPLANATION IS.... etc

his explanation was of course a classic "no one who doesn't already understand this phenom will know what i mean" explanation

mark s (mark s), Tuesday, 22 July 2003 16:18 (twenty-two years ago)

Oh, look it's Elizabeth from BB2's website. I'm glad she's ditched the creepy old boyfriend and taken to wearing leather.

Tag (Tag), Thursday, 24 July 2003 12:45 (twenty-two years ago)

Hm, it's too exciting for words Elizabeth!

Pinkpanther (Pinkpanther), Thursday, 24 July 2003 13:01 (twenty-two years ago)

i thought Cameron would be in deep shite after his anti-samesex-marriage spiel:
'because thee bibel says manne shall not lye with manne...' and you could see him hesitating as he realised lesbians weren't covered by this rule....

steph's terminology during the reward-room conversation about masturbation was wtf - she used phrases like:
'ppl carrying out naughtiness on themselves..' & i'm sure i heard her say something about not wanting to 'violate' herself

after that episode i was left with a sinking feeling that scott will probably win

Snowy Mann (rdmanston), Thursday, 24 July 2003 13:22 (twenty-two years ago)

Yeah, Steph said masturbation was a perversion. Mmmmm, yes, dear.

The barometer of public opinion that is our local off-licence now has "Vote Ray to win" on the blackboard. Think they may have blown their 100% record...

ailsa (ailsa), Thursday, 24 July 2003 20:01 (twenty-two years ago)

Not much on Cameron's homophobia. I think for the next BB they should have a school type 'this house believes' debate on controversial issues early on so that attitudes can be flushed out (like in that programme whose name I have forgotten that involved a panel judging which contestant won the prize money, based on what they said to various questions).

N. (nickdastoor), Thursday, 24 July 2003 21:02 (twenty-two years ago)

Without Prejudice?

Ben Mott (Ben Mott), Thursday, 24 July 2003 23:50 (twenty-two years ago)

E4's Big Brother 'ads' in which they digitally replace one of the housemates with an amusing puppet > any Big Brother ever

stevem (blueski), Friday, 25 July 2003 00:13 (twenty-two years ago)

i cannot stress how brilliant those ads are, it makes me cry with rapturous joy

stevem (blueski), Friday, 25 July 2003 00:13 (twenty-two years ago)

I don't care about Big Brother anymore because Rule The School is back, and Rule The School is the best best thing ever ever.

Tim (Tim), Friday, 25 July 2003 08:54 (twenty-two years ago)

Is that like 'Beat The Teacher'?

N. (nickdastoor), Friday, 25 July 2003 08:55 (twenty-two years ago)

Very much like that: there are a bunch of kids teaching a bunch of teachers to do cool things like rap and dance like J. Timberlake. The kids are harsh! The first detention involved sitting this middle-aged teacher on her own in a room and making her listen to Scooter at top volume through headphones.

The best thing is that the cooler, younger teachers come off as the biggest planks of the lot.

Tim (Tim), Friday, 25 July 2003 08:59 (twenty-two years ago)

haha, tim only likes it cos it's almost named after a bellendsebastian song

CarsmileSteve (CarsmileSteve), Friday, 25 July 2003 09:00 (twenty-two years ago)

I only like you because you're named after my favourite band, Carsmile.

Tim (Tim), Friday, 25 July 2003 09:01 (twenty-two years ago)

I am looking forward to this 2nite, sadly tho, only because it will then be over. I cannot bear to watch it now Jon is back in there & everyone is paying attention to him again. 8.30 Jon leaves=I will start watching again.

Pinkpanther (Pinkpanther), Friday, 25 July 2003 09:03 (twenty-two years ago)

He was vitriolic about Cameron last night.

N. (nickdastoor), Friday, 25 July 2003 09:04 (twenty-two years ago)

The first detention involved sitting this middle-aged teacher on her own in a room and making her listen to Scooter at top volume through headphones.

This is surely the best thing ever!

RickyT (RickyT), Friday, 25 July 2003 09:08 (twenty-two years ago)

As always, the man is jealous, nothing more to it! Sadly he believes all the dicks that think he is funny, intelligent & the person that should have one.

Pinkpanther (Pinkpanther), Friday, 25 July 2003 09:08 (twenty-two years ago)

Emma (to thread) said she was v impressed with the Justin Timbo dance class. i hope they repeat this on sat/sun morning, as I've given up on SMTV (no spongebob, no brian, rubbish wonkey donkey, no eminemerdale) and saturday kitchen seems to have gone too.

Alan (Alan), Friday, 25 July 2003 09:19 (twenty-two years ago)

Yes if they don't repeat it then I'll have to learn how to set the video (haha great lesson for next year's RTS) because I can't guarantee being ill and off work every Thursday. Also quite good on CBBC at present: U Get Me.

Tim (Tim), Friday, 25 July 2003 09:21 (twenty-two years ago)

oo, yes, I've been watching that in bits. the interweb radio station thing. it's on the w/e mornings. before H****oaks.

Alan (Alan), Friday, 25 July 2003 09:23 (twenty-two years ago)

Yes. This week wotsername arranged a proper date with that goth lad who's rich as Croesus. But it all went wrong and a bag of chips was left forlorn on a park bench.

Tim (Tim), Friday, 25 July 2003 09:25 (twenty-two years ago)

Rule the School is great, Tim is (as always, well often) right. Also it is good for my health as the only way I can see it is by going to the gym on Thursdays. I was laughing heartily at the crap efforts of teachers to pull cool faces when dancing and their total inability to rap (though they were all better than Victoria Aitken).

Cameron favours beating children with belts. He must not win.

Emma, Friday, 25 July 2003 09:34 (twenty-two years ago)

VICTORIA AITKEN

RAPPING

stone me that was awful

Alan (Alan), Friday, 25 July 2003 09:36 (twenty-two years ago)

But was it worse than Andrew Motion's 21st birthday rap for Prince William?

N. (nickdastoor), Friday, 25 July 2003 09:41 (twenty-two years ago)

Nothing can be worse than that. Nothing.

RickyT (RickyT), Friday, 25 July 2003 09:42 (twenty-two years ago)

I have some vague idea that she rhymed 'girl' with 'whirl'. The punters in the record shop where she was taking part in the rap battle thingy were divided between those in hysterics and those who could hardly seem to believe their eyes/ears. It was achingly embarrassing to watch. our flatmate had to cover his eyes.

Emma, Friday, 25 July 2003 09:45 (twenty-two years ago)

So he could concentrate better.

N. (nickdastoor), Friday, 25 July 2003 09:47 (twenty-two years ago)

I think he couldn't bear the suffering on the faces of the innocent bystanders.

Emma, Friday, 25 July 2003 10:03 (twenty-two years ago)

UGetMe is okay, but the pace is PAINFULLY slow.

Nathan W (Nathan Webb), Friday, 25 July 2003 10:07 (twenty-two years ago)

It was awful, how on earth could she stand there infront of all of those people?

Pinkpanther (Pinkpanther), Friday, 25 July 2003 10:10 (twenty-two years ago)

I have a record by DVS, the fellow V. Aitken was 'bettling' (her tactic seemmed to be to disable her opponent by making him laugh so much).

UGetMe = slow on a Sunday morning, but caught in daily 10 minute bursts it works better.

Tim (Tim), Friday, 25 July 2003 10:32 (twenty-two years ago)

Okay, the chipmunk girl has been ousted.

C J (C J), Friday, 25 July 2003 19:13 (twenty-two years ago)

:(

mark s (mark s), Friday, 25 July 2003 19:13 (twenty-two years ago)

And now the fools have got rid of Scott.

So now I've got throw my hat into the Cameron camp bah.

Steph was adorable in her interview.

N. (nickdastoor), Friday, 25 July 2003 19:31 (twenty-two years ago)

Her mother was a nightmare though

C J (C J), Friday, 25 July 2003 19:42 (twenty-two years ago)

Not really.

N. (nickdastoor), Friday, 25 July 2003 19:45 (twenty-two years ago)

Incredible shrieking woman.

C J (C J), Friday, 25 July 2003 19:52 (twenty-two years ago)
