The answer to the question "Who is buried in Grant's Tomb?" is "no one" because Grant isn't buried, he's entombed.

The answer to the question "Who is buried in Grant's Tomb?" is "no one" because Grant isn't buried, he's entombed.

I have a niggle, Jody, but it's one you should appreciate. You'll find that even if you say "Grant is entombed in Grant's tomb" the picture is somewhat incomplete, since his dead wife is entombed there with him. It's a roomy tomb.

Tracer Hand (tracerhand), Tuesday, 15 July 2003 21:15 (twenty-two years ago)

Oops, you should call it "The Sun" because then at the moment of climax you can sing "Here comes the sun, baby/Here comes the sun/And I said, it's all right/Doo doo doo doo doo doo doo doo doo doo doo doo doo doo".

*we pre-empt this laff-a-minute portion of this thread for the following Important Truth Revelation*

Um, I know it's been joked about here on ILX before, but I really, truly was going to be a nun at one time. I had inquired about it when I was still in high school, and when I was 18 I was actually asking around. (I had it narrowed down to either the Benedictines or the CDPs.) What made me change my mind? I don't know. Maybe God intervened and made me realize that that was not my true calling. What's interesting is that the very next year, I got my first boyfriend. Heh.

*we now continue with the hilarity*

luna (luna.c), Tuesday, 15 July 2003 22:11 (twenty-two years ago)

Depends on the particular woman. However, most of us don't choke on the truth.

Truth is a point, the subtlest and finest; harder than adamant; never to be broken, worn away or blunted. Its only bad quality is, that it is sure to hurt those who touch it; and likely to draw blood, perhaps the life blood of those who press earnestly upon it.
