Is it really necessary to bring cigars to a dinner party?

How do people get the notion that smoking cigars indoors is appropriate when they, themselves, have been known to publicly denounce smoking cigarettes indoors?

jools or jewels, Sunday, 20 July 2003 04:36 (twenty-two years ago)

Well, that seems hypocritical. But yes, to answer your question, it is certainly necessary to bring cigars to a dinner party.

colin s barrow (colin s barrow), Sunday, 20 July 2003 10:50 (twenty-two years ago)

Depends on how good the cigar is.

Matt (Matt), Sunday, 20 July 2003 11:22 (twenty-two years ago)

I am conducting a serious grown-up survey on how many ILX0rs smoke cigars.

@d@ml (nordicskilla), Wednesday, 5 November 2003 08:53 (twenty-one years ago)

Do you? Are you smoking a Montecristo right now as you type that screed on internet crushes/microhouse/whatever? Are you enjoying a 200 year-old Armagnac? In a leather chair?

@d@ml (nordicskilla), Wednesday, 5 November 2003 08:55 (twenty-one years ago)

i am also a robber baron and am currently polishing my monocle.

rob geary (rgeary), Wednesday, 5 November 2003 09:19 (twenty-one years ago)

I smoke a metaphorical pipe. If I smoked I would smoke a pipe like Tony Benn or Harold Wilson.

Ed (dali), Wednesday, 5 November 2003 09:45 (twenty-one years ago)

I have been known to go for the occasional cigar, I loves 'em.

I am smoking a bolivar right now, this is true and it is also perhaps a bit stale.

see ar (see ar), Sunday, 8 February 2004 02:14 (twenty-one years ago)

My dad used to keep a cigar or two in the fridge to "keep them fresh." Of course they stayed in there for years.

Tracer Hand (tracerhand), Sunday, 8 February 2004 02:24 (twenty-one years ago)

it's been known

Matt (Matt), Sunday, 8 February 2004 02:43 (twenty-one years ago)

Man, I could really go for a nice cigar right about now. Haven't had one in a while.

Broheems (diamond), Sunday, 8 February 2004 02:57 (twenty-one years ago)

I am on the verge of being evicted from my apartment for smoking cigars. But I ain't gonna stop.

@d@ml (nordicskilla), Thursday, 8 April 2004 02:19 (twenty-one years ago)

@d@ml (nordicskilla), Thursday, 8 April 2004 02:19 (twenty-one years ago)

s1ocki (slutsky), Thursday, 8 April 2004 02:19 (twenty-one years ago)

@d@ml (nordicskilla), Thursday, 8 April 2004 02:20 (twenty-one years ago)

s1ocki (slutsky), Thursday, 8 April 2004 02:21 (twenty-one years ago)

@d@ml (nordicskilla), Thursday, 8 April 2004 02:22 (twenty-one years ago)

s1ocki (slutsky), Thursday, 8 April 2004 02:24 (twenty-one years ago)

Now where the hell do I buy cigars around here anyway?

@d@ml (nordicskilla), Thursday, 8 April 2004 02:25 (twenty-one years ago)

s1ocki (slutsky), Thursday, 8 April 2004 02:25 (twenty-one years ago)

the surface noise (electricsound), Thursday, 8 April 2004 02:34 (twenty-one years ago)

There's a common myth that cigars won't kill you because they're
"natural."

Squirrel_Police (Squirrel_Police), Thursday, 8 April 2004 03:02 (twenty-one years ago)

Romeo y Julietas are normal-sized. Before I took up cigarettes, I smoked those and Macanudos (and the occasional, uh, Black & Mild, God help me).

miloauckerman (miloauckerman), Thursday, 8 April 2004 03:09 (twenty-one years ago)

oooooooh, that's good. I could get used to this.

three years pass...

I smoked a delicious cubano tonight. MMMMMMyum. The last bit is the best part. (A friend just came back from DR with them.)

Mordy, Monday, 2 June 2008 03:49 (seventeen years ago)

We have these amazing cigarillos at home - they look like cigarettes, but they're that stronger cigar tobacco - and the paper is chocolate scented/flavoured. So tasty. But as a smoker, I'm quite crap at not inhaling, which when it comes to the cigars, is a bit hard on the throat.

Trayce, Monday, 2 June 2008 04:03 (seventeen years ago)

I gotta question. Any cigar-related purchases I should look into while I'm in Italy?

Mordy, Monday, 2 June 2008 04:10 (seventeen years ago)

i read this as 'is it really necessary to bring cougars to a dinner party?'

Rubyredd, Monday, 2 June 2008 04:31 (seventeen years ago)

The answer to that is self-evident.

Mordy, Monday, 2 June 2008 04:32 (seventeen years ago)

I read Ruby's post as 'ask grady'

The Reverend, Monday, 2 June 2008 05:21 (seventeen years ago)

the first time i was ever offered a smoke of anything it was a cigar when i was in 7th grade

J0rdan S., Monday, 2 June 2008 05:43 (seventeen years ago)

i said no

The Reverend, Monday, 2 June 2008 05:52 (seventeen years ago)

Do you regret saying no?

Mordy, Monday, 2 June 2008 05:59 (seventeen years ago)

nah i mean i was a scaredy 7th grader who thought that i would get arrested if i was caught smoking a cigar behind a gas station dumpster

cigars don't really do anything for me. just like flavored tobacco in a hookah or whatever i don't ever really pick up on the "taste"
