My aunt has been told by her dentist that crowning her teeth will cost AUS$ 28, 000. Holey Shit! Has anybody been in an expensive tooth repair bind before?

she must now weigh up house renovations with semi-urgent dental work. what price do you place on a healthy mouth? would you pay $28,000?

How many crowns is that for? I would think that one crown should be under $1000.

howdy jim

from what i've heard it's a teeth grinding problem which means a great many teeth need to be crowned.

How about this true story about my neighbour. Lad signs on the navy, but it is on condition that he has his teeth brace out. He goes to the dentist, who refuses and says that if the brace comes out the lad will be charged three thousand quid, which is how much the desntist would have been paid for the rest of the treatment. So the lad has to delay his entry into the navy for a year, even though he's mad keen to go in.

I don't know why the navy won't take any one with teeth braces.
