london folx: where can i buy avant-lettuce?

i am having people over for dinner on monday. to start i want to replicate a salad i had a while ago in canada which was pretty amazing: pear, walnut, parmesan and crucially radiccio lettuce. now i've seen this stuff in bags in supermarkets but it's always scraggy lil bits mixed up with loads of other guff. where can i buy a whole one?

There's an organic greengrocers in Crouch End you can get it from - but centre-ville, not so sure. Relly big supremarkets - Selfridges or Fortnums (though veg selection not so good).

I'd be surprised if Waitrose don't stock it. Actually I'm surprised you can't get it in Sainsbury's or Tesco, but I'll take your word for it.
