I bought a soap making kit from an art and crafts store and I heard you can make coffee soap so I mixed it up and made two black bars of French Roast soap. It seems to work well.

mmmm, caffinated soap!
I just bought a few yards of cute fabrics & some ribbons, so tomorrow I'm going to attempt to sew a few new purses for myself. I haven't done this since high school, but I don't remember it being so difficult. The fabrics I got are awesome patterns, so I hope that will keep me motivated to polish off one.

Can you make soap from other addictive substances? You may be on to something.

Millar (Millar), Saturday, 26 July 2003 05:00 (twenty-two years ago)

ThinkGeek is already ahead of you - they sell a soap called Shower Shock ($6.99/bar) which is a transdermal caffeine delivery system embedded in a bar of soap.

"Scented with peppermint oil and infused with caffeine anhydrous, each bar of Shower Shock contains approximately 10 servings/showers per 4 ounce bar with 200 milligrams of caffeine per serving."

A good clean buzz...

i think I may try orange soap next. but should I use the peel or the fruit?

Mike Hanle y (mike), Saturday, 26 July 2003 13:35 (twenty-two years ago)

use the crayon!!

mark s (mark s), Saturday, 26 July 2003 13:41 (twenty-two years ago)

For orange soap, you probably want the orange zest from the peel- that's where the oils that smell nice & citrusy are. (If you don't know how to get the zest off, grab a grater & just scape little curly bits off the outer edge of the orange peel)

i thought you used human fat to make soap?

keith (keithmcl), Saturday, 26 July 2003 16:14 (twenty-two years ago)

Who, Hanle y? Yeah probably.

N. (nickdastoor), Saturday, 26 July 2003 16:51 (twenty-two years ago)

so does coffee soap make you smell like coffee all day? or is this the new hip way of receiving your caffeine hit?

H (Heruy), Saturday, 26 July 2003 20:21 (twenty-two years ago)

I want soap that works like a bloody mary. Maybe that way I'd actually take showers on Saturdays.

Millar (Millar), Saturday, 26 July 2003 20:25 (twenty-two years ago)

next: blood soap

Curt1s St3ph3ns, Saturday, 26 July 2003 21:25 (twenty-two years ago)

Seriously, if someone can convince me that coffee soap will actually wake me up in the mornings, I'll probably buy ten of them.

Kim (Kim), Saturday, 26 July 2003 21:37 (twenty-two years ago)

I was mocked this morning for suggesting such a thing.

Mr Noodles (Mr Noodles), Saturday, 26 July 2003 22:43 (twenty-two years ago)

I guess you need to be more convincing.

Kim (Kim), Saturday, 26 July 2003 22:50 (twenty-two years ago)

I dunno. This guy looks pretty convinced.

Im not sure the call of the shower works on Kim. But that tattoo...

Mr Noodles (Mr Noodles), Saturday, 26 July 2003 23:29 (twenty-two years ago)

Yeah the tat, whatever - what I need to know now is why does that guy have a mirkin hanging in his shower?

Kim (Kim), Saturday, 26 July 2003 23:44 (twenty-two years ago)

What have they done to Scott from BB??

N. (nickdastoor), Saturday, 26 July 2003 23:58 (twenty-two years ago)

They've given him a mirkin.

Mr Noodles (Mr Noodles), Sunday, 27 July 2003 00:20 (twenty-two years ago)

Looks like they've mistakenly placed one on his chin as well.

Kim (Kim), Sunday, 27 July 2003 00:40 (twenty-two years ago)

Tad (llamasfur), Sunday, 27 July 2003 02:19 (twenty-two years ago)

could I make "merkin soap"? the puff thats a muff?

Mike Hanle y (mike), Sunday, 27 July 2003 03:04 (twenty-two years ago)

You'd have guys buying it by the truck load.
Even if it had to be applied via mirkin.
