He is always late for our meetings, often forgets, is cold and rational and not very empthathic . When do i tell my buddy to fuck off.

When you get the feeling that even you aren't included in his waning shred of empathy. When you're convinced he believes he's fine completely alone in the world. When he calls your empathy for others "trivial". When he says "WTC tragedy? That's too bad. I don't have the time to be bothered with that".

If he's REALLY cold, he won't ever seek you out. You shouldn't even have to tell him to fuck off. I didn't have to tell my buddy.

Did anyone even *try* to watch that? In between videotapes I saw bits with the sound down and could only imagine how gloopily horrible it was. I suspect Mariah's figured she's got the ultimate career- salvation move in the bag now, though. The 'orrible twit.

I saw a bit of the telethon on Channel 4 News this evening, and was struck by a) how all the slebs behind the desks looked like a scene from the Muppet Show, and b) Jack Nicholson was doing his Jack Nicholson smirk all the time! He is now my hero.
