woah it actually said this phrase in the guardian guide!!! how can i dissauade geeta from forcing me into this, i already know the badness, what can it mean?

― gareth (gareth), Tuesday, 5 August 2003 00:20 (twenty-three years ago)

i think they mean "Hundred Reasons" and "Funeral for a Friend"

― electric sound of jim (electricsound), Tuesday, 5 August 2003 00:32 (twenty-three years ago)

i dont know what those thigns are, they sound terrible, i want to see!

the guardian club guide is an exercise in how to write the same thing 1000 times but slightly differently

"habermasian indie pop with a irv gotti like gramsican twist"

"teleological robo-disco with leckian overtones"

whatever dude

Now I remember why I gave up wanting to be a music journalist.

― Trayce (trayce), Tuesday, 5 August 2003 00:39 (twenty-three years ago)

i abandoned my hopes after i took notice of the adverse affects it has on one's soul and interpersonal skills.

irrespective of that, i don't see how anyone on this board, where jess harvell and his vacuous namedropping are celebrated can really hate on the guardian. hypocracy is permissable when you have to root, root, root for the home team.

― RJG (RJG), Tuesday, 5 August 2003 03:28 (twenty-three years ago)

woah, dude, its like being in the hall of mirrors

― gareth (gareth), Tuesday, 5 August 2003 07:05 (twenty-three years ago)

The worse thing about The Barfly = The Fly, shitty subsidaries pseudo-fanzine passed around in places like Yates Wine Bar, featuring hot interviews with, like, The Shins and Medium 21.

― Dom Passantino (Dom Passantino), Tuesday, 5 August 2003 08:53 (twenty-three years ago)
