strongo hulkington (dubplatestyle), Tuesday, 5 August 2003 14:35 (twenty-two years ago)

Underwear gnomes?

Ally (mlescaut), Tuesday, 5 August 2003 14:37 (twenty-two years ago)

What's going on there? I thought your old apartment complex was really noisy, how could it be worse?

Larcole (Nicole), Tuesday, 5 August 2003 14:38 (twenty-two years ago)

you moved to Shanghai?

gabbneb (gabbneb), Tuesday, 5 August 2003 14:38 (twenty-two years ago)

OF COURSE we had to move into the building with the screaming family including A. father who looks like the black guy from pulp fiction who i've already heard threaten to slap his woman down B. said woman who looks like a cross between sandy duncan and da brat ("i ain't no ho"...direct quote here, people) and C. the hordes of screaming pre-teen children. it's a wonder this bitches legs aren't wider apart than scatman crothers in the shining.

strongo hulkington (dubplatestyle), Tuesday, 5 August 2003 14:40 (twenty-two years ago)

and OF COURSE the kids just LOVE to hang out right in front of the pahtway into the building I.E. RIGHT OUTSIDE MY BEDROOM WINDOW URGH ARGH

strongo hulkington (dubplatestyle), Tuesday, 5 August 2003 14:41 (twenty-two years ago)

The pipes sing a melody to you.

jel -- (jel), Tuesday, 5 August 2003 14:41 (twenty-two years ago)

scatter tacks.

teeny (teeny), Tuesday, 5 August 2003 14:41 (twenty-two years ago)

that should be scatman crothers' LEGS, but then i remembered that jack nicholson axed him, so i guess it works either way

strongo hulkington (dubplatestyle), Tuesday, 5 August 2003 14:42 (twenty-two years ago)

I was Berlined.
Then I was Sandusky, Ohioed.
Tomorrow I'm hoping to be Minnesotaed.

Horace Mann (Horace Mann), Tuesday, 5 August 2003 14:44 (twenty-two years ago)

I was Council Bluffed

gabbneb (gabbneb), Tuesday, 5 August 2003 14:45 (twenty-two years ago)

I was Omahaed by a pair of 17 yr old twins.

Horace Mann (Horace Mann), Tuesday, 5 August 2003 14:46 (twenty-two years ago)

are you sure you weren't catskilled?

strongo hulkington (dubplatestyle), Tuesday, 5 August 2003 14:49 (twenty-two years ago)

A. father who looks like the black guy from pulp fiction who i've already heard threaten to slap his woman down

So that's where the Jerry Springer show gets its guests!

Seriously, complain to the landlord, preferably with a big stick

Nichole Graham (Nichole Graham), Tuesday, 5 August 2003 15:13 (twenty-two years ago)

yeah, if things continue, i will. i've only been here...what?...five days now? i am willing to accept that this might be a temporary situation (HA HA).

strongo hulkington (dubplatestyle), Tuesday, 5 August 2003 15:17 (twenty-two years ago)

Rat poison.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Tuesday, 5 August 2003 15:18 (twenty-two years ago)

"..BY THE DRAGON LAY-DEEEEEEEEEEH..." (Oh, come on, no one remembers this one hit wonder by 'Lectric Funk?)

strongo, there's only way to take care of this. become marilyn manson and go door to door in your complex and say "Welcome to my nightmare, you bloated, pustulent pigs. Look at me, suburban dung. Does this shock you?"

donut bitch (donut), Tuesday, 5 August 2003 16:37 (twenty-two years ago)

It's my understanding that young kids (and probably anybody else) will always leave a place if they hate the music. Use this to your advantage young Strongo.

Horace Mann (Horace Mann), Tuesday, 5 August 2003 17:05 (twenty-two years ago)

Vic (Vic), Tuesday, 5 August 2003 17:06 (twenty-two years ago)

the solution is to move to worcester.

Chris V. (Chris V), Tuesday, 5 August 2003 17:20 (twenty-two years ago)

or Halifax, from the Hope v. Pope thread:

Uh, sorta related, CBC Newsworld is reporting RIGHT NOW that Nova Scotians, despite statistically unhealthy lifestyles, are producing (if
that's the right term, I suspect not) 25X more Centenarians than the rest of North America (Avg is 2 per 100K, NS has 50 per 100K).
Maybe they were just holding a grudge against Hope (and Bob Hope) and now that he's gone, they can let go. Like Burroughs and Ginsburg.

-- Horace Mann (handsomishbo...), August 5th, 2003.

Horace Mann (Horace Mann), Tuesday, 5 August 2003 17:23 (twenty-two years ago)

my great grandmother who was a nova scotian lived to 102.

Chris V. (Chris V), Tuesday, 5 August 2003 17:25 (twenty-two years ago)

Well, Nova Scotia's so far north -- since the rate of earth's rotation is slower there than in more temperate (and tropical) climes, time passes slower for Nova Scotians relative to the rest of us. Therefore, they appear to live longer.

Hurlothrumbo (hurlothrumbo), Tuesday, 5 August 2003 19:20 (twenty-two years ago)

Of course, had I remembered my relativity correctly, I probably wouldn't have been so glaringly WRONG in the above post. (And I wasn't serious anyway, dammit.)

DAMMIT GYGAX I WUZ GONNA DO THAT

Dan Perry (Dan Perry), Tuesday, 5 August 2003 19:43 (twenty-two years ago)

yeah, but hurlo, washington state is just barely south of nova scotia, and i wouldn't exactly call this corner of the continent a haven for longevity.
