thinks Ruby Wax is funny

Andrew L (Andrew L), Thursday, 7 August 2003 10:31 (twenty-two years ago)

could tie a cherry stem in a knot using only their tongue.

Andrew Farrell (afarrell), Thursday, 7 August 2003 10:34 (twenty-two years ago)

has been to a badmington tournament as a spectator,
worked the Electric Brae,
enjoyed light sweats,
was the last person awake on the planet,
owned a JS Custom Thunderbass (the '62),
drunk Irn-Bru & tequila,
had heard of the 'gowk-storm',
burned a book,
was a heliographer.

David. (Cozen), Thursday, 7 August 2003 10:44 (twenty-two years ago)

liked tea with butter and salt who wasn't Tibetan.

colin s barrow (colin s barrow), Thursday, 7 August 2003 10:45 (twenty-two years ago)

I like Patrick Kielty.

Roderick the Visigoth. (Jake Proudlock), Thursday, 7 August 2003 11:16 (twenty-two years ago)

And I think Ruby Wax is funny.

j0e (j0e), Thursday, 7 August 2003 11:25 (twenty-two years ago)

Ruby Wax is occasionally funny. Kielty respect I have never encountered previously.

N. (nickdastoor), Thursday, 7 August 2003 11:52 (twenty-two years ago)

I've burned a book.

Tuomas (Tuomas), Thursday, 7 August 2003 12:04 (twenty-two years ago)

I've burned a book too. Accidentally.

Archel (Archel), Thursday, 7 August 2003 12:18 (twenty-two years ago)

I burned a copy of The Ninja when I was littler because my parents bought it thinking it was another ninja book and I didn't want them to know that it had many extremely rude sections (which I had committed to memory).

Andrew Farrell (afarrell), Thursday, 7 August 2003 12:26 (twenty-two years ago)

They so should have had special people to memorise all the dirty bits from books in Farenheit 451 . Actually they probably all did this secretly.

N. (nickdastoor), Thursday, 7 August 2003 12:30 (twenty-two years ago)

Tea with butter and salt?!

Ally (mlescaut), Thursday, 7 August 2003 12:59 (twenty-two years ago)

Clearly you're not Tibetan.

Andrew Farrell (afarrell), Thursday, 7 August 2003 13:22 (twenty-two years ago)

Surprise!

Ally (mlescaut), Thursday, 7 August 2003 13:24 (twenty-two years ago)

could tie a cherry stem in a knot using only their tongue

I never thought I had a talent, but now it appears that I do. I can do this!

luna (luna.c), Thursday, 7 August 2003 15:39 (twenty-two years ago)

Wouldn't you have to use your teeth as well, to hold it still?

NA (Nick A.), Thursday, 7 August 2003 15:42 (twenty-two years ago)

This is the great talent though Nick! (Matt can do it.)

Archel (Archel), Thursday, 7 August 2003 15:43 (twenty-two years ago)

Clearly I have to throw myself off a bridge now. THANK YOU FOR BREAKING MY DREAM, NICK.

luna (luna.c), Thursday, 7 August 2003 15:43 (twenty-two years ago)

No, I'm saying I think it would be impossible for ANYONE to do it with just their tongue. I was questioning the wording of the original statement. Just being pedantic really. I'm sure your tongue-tying abilities are quite impressive.

NA (Nick A.), Thursday, 7 August 2003 15:45 (twenty-two years ago)

I can do Electric Brae! It's not as impressive as I thought it would be. I think when I was a kid I thought it would be a really steep hill, but I have no idea how I thought that would work.

ailsa (ailsa), Thursday, 7 August 2003 17:13 (twenty-two years ago)

has been to a badmington tournament as a spectator

I have! A woman I knew was competing.

Martin Skidmore (Martin Skidmore), Friday, 8 August 2003 17:25 (twenty-two years ago)

Wow, cool. And I have met you too.

David. (Cozen), Friday, 8 August 2003 18:47 (twenty-two years ago)

I can do the cherry thing too - but as far as I'm concerned the teeth are essential but don't make it any less of a feat. I can tie two knots in the same stalk, too. Madchen and Miss Vicky have both witnessed this.

Mark C (Mark C), Friday, 8 August 2003 22:40 (twenty-two years ago)

I've never met anyone who is an actual ILMer or ILEist or ilXorian.

t\'\'t (t\'\'t), Saturday, 9 August 2003 23:31 (twenty-two years ago)

I can't do it with a cherry, but I can do it with lolly snakes and they break real easy.

Nellie (nellskies), Sunday, 10 August 2003 00:56 (twenty-two years ago)

colin s barrow (colin s barrow), Sunday, 10 August 2003 01:11 (twenty-two years ago)

Don't kiss the cook, I'm the cute one.

Francis Watlington (Francis Watlington), Sunday, 10 August 2003 02:49 (twenty-two years ago)

Francis Watlington (Francis Watlington), Sunday, 10 August 2003 02:52 (twenty-two years ago)

It's "badminton", chaps.

Mark C (Mark C), Sunday, 10 August 2003 08:49 (twenty-two years ago)

...knew the rules of royal tennis;

...made love in a lift;

...thought French accents were unsexy;

...was able to eat a banana soundlessly;

...made the lights change by pressing the button multiple times;

...lost a limb without significantly altering their lifestyle.

colin s barrow (colin s barrow), Sunday, 10 August 2003 10:16 (twenty-two years ago)

Killed a man.

miloauckerman (miloauckerman), Sunday, 10 August 2003 16:18 (twenty-two years ago)

I never met anyone who......loved me for who i am instead of for what i could do for them.

Orbit (Orbit), Sunday, 10 August 2003 20:58 (twenty-two years ago)

Oh dear. That's sad. I always thought that you can call it "love" only if someone likes you for you what you are. If he/she likes you for what you cand do for him/her, it's not actually love in the purest sense, is it? Or am I just a hopeless romantic? Mind you, I've experienced this sort of romantic love only once, but at least I know it's possible. I'm sure it'll happen to you too, eventually.

Tuomas (Tuomas), Monday, 11 August 2003 07:26 (twenty-two years ago)

...who was in Duran Duran.

Ally (mlescaut), Monday, 11 August 2003 12:59 (twenty-two years ago)
