I try to avoid personal stuff despite temptation because (a) you always have to sort it out yourself in the end and (b) it doesn't read well or get many responses. I have lapsed occasionally though.

Yep, there are many things that I wouldn't feel comfortable discussing on ILX. Much as there are things that I don't feel comfortable ever discussing. We all have those things that we keep back from the world and other things that we share only with those that we are most intimate with. But I think that what those 'won't discuss' topics vary wildly from person to person and situation to situation.
