what do they do with the garbage?

I dunno what they do w/ it where you live, in fact don't really know what they do here either but I got the idea they aren't especially ecolologically careful or whatever. anyway what i wonder is if it's in fact the best garbage policy to do what i've always assumed is right i.e. to get all the trash (incl. other ppl's litterings that i pick up)to the correct trash authorities to get it all buried in the same place or whatever they do. 'cause hey maybe for example garbage is less detrimental just left it where it is than all concentrated in holes in the ground, or maybe they even incinerate it, or something. I was thinking actually maybe all these years I'd thought I was doing the right thing but I'd only ever thougtht of it on the most superficial aesthetic level...yeah anyway I'm sorry, I'm rambling, really I was building up to get at a more general ecological question, also a more general philosophical question, like you know is concentrated evil more evil than diffuse evil, or something. hey so just talk about anything.
Oh yeah that's right , an ILE Dunedin meet, is anyone down? like a picnic or something. But maybe when I come back from Auckland next month, I've got to go to Auckland.
