Yay! You must go see him Gareth (I think some of his songs are on one of the CDs I sent you.)

Search: everything, he's honky tonk's savior.

Let me second that! And him losing the love of his life to that accident was a terrible tragedy that led to one of the best tributes to someone who died too young in music or out of it.

Best new country singer in some decades I think. Certainly at least since Lyle Lovett. In the style of Merle Haggard, more or less. Cheating Heart Attack and Nashville Rag are particularly good, and if you're lucky he won't do England To Texas, which rather assumes all Brits adored Princess Diana.

Haha, I love how in that article he says he doesn't play honky tonks. His main venue in Austin, Ginny's Little Longhorn, is the truest bluest honky tonk. I guess Austin is the exception to the rule, as it should be.

a tiny thing about Dale

a tiny thing about Ginny's.

Hmm, wonder who wrote those lil' things. . .

Just picked up his newest album, Whiskey or God, as a gift for my dad, who I've turned into a fan over the years.

What separates this dude from a thousand similarly-anachronistic revivalist types on Bloodshot circa 1998? I'm not being cheeky, just genuinely want to know because everyone seems to love this guy and I'm not getting it at all.
