Yes, because your body isn't doing enough work to burn off the before-bed calories so it turns it into belly.

I would say that it isn't a good idea to eat just before bed as you are not being active & therefore your metabolism has slowed right down & will therefore not process the food as quickly as it should. I am not sure whether you would gain weight in the long term, but maybe in the short term, as in the next day or so.

But if you don't you start eating the bed in your sleep. It's a lose-lose, sorry.

I once dreamt I was eating a fucking gorgeous hot roast beef bagguette with loads of mustard, and when I woke up I had teeth marks on my arm and saliva stains on my duvet. This is true; ask Emma.

Nick in canibalistic tendancies SHOCKAH!

Pinkpanther (Pinkpanther), Wednesday, 13 August 2003 08:33 (twenty-two years ago)

Emma, is it true that while Nick slept soundly dreaming of beef bagguette with loads of mustard, you attempted to ritualistically sacrifice him to Huitzilopochtli using only your teeth?

It is, but the fucker woke up.

It's a total myth, look it up. The science shows that with equal calorie consumption, a person who eats just before bed doesn't gain any more weight than someone who doesn't. Eat happily any time you want.

either way, it makes my stomach all active and rumbly so i wouldn't recommend it.
