electric sound of jim (electricsound), Thursday, 14 August 2003 23:45 (twenty-two years ago)

I'm lame, but I have to be honest: LiveJournal

OK, you may all point and laugh now.

Trayce (trayce), Friday, 15 August 2003 00:20 (twenty-two years ago)

*points* ha ha!

electric sound of jim (electricsound), Friday, 15 August 2003 00:22 (twenty-two years ago)

I have finally watched what I think is everything on Homestar Runner and I am frustrated and want more! Grrr!

Chris P (Chris P), Friday, 15 August 2003 00:37 (twenty-two years ago)

Livejournal's like the only way I have of keeping track of a lot of my friends, especially ones who've moved away, or don't hang out on internet places where I'm active (which come to think of it would only be ILE these days), etc.

Stuff I visit every day ... Sports Illustrated, Neopets, various comics, and languagehat.

Tep (ktepi), Friday, 15 August 2003 00:40 (twenty-two years ago)

Actually speaking of LJ *glares at Jim*, all you LJers out there in ILXor land, reprazent, I wanna read yer journals.

Trayce (trayce), Friday, 15 August 2003 00:45 (twenty-two years ago)

Only if you don't mention ILE there, cause I get weirded out when my online communities homogenize. doctorpepper. redfusion for the cooking journal.

Tep (ktepi), Friday, 15 August 2003 00:47 (twenty-two years ago)

(Note clever naming scheme. And yes, moxie was taken.)

Tep (ktepi), Friday, 15 August 2003 00:48 (twenty-two years ago)

I do sometimes mention ILE on my LJ, so erm... take that as you may. I know what you mean, though. I have 3 reasonably disparate online communities I'm a part of, and when they overlap, things get really weird and memes take off like wildfire, its very odd.

I'm trayce on LJ natch if anyone's curious and apologies for the slight thread derailment.

Trayce (trayce), Friday, 15 August 2003 00:51 (twenty-two years ago)

Oh, just don't mention it if you comment on mine, that's all. I doubt many people check my friends page other than the girlfriend :) I just don't want all the LJers showing up here, they're spammy bastards.

I'll add you if you like, my LJ's friends-only just so I don't have to remember to degoogle my name and things like that.

Tep (ktepi), Friday, 15 August 2003 00:55 (twenty-two years ago)

The Electronic Foundation Of Sound And Vision I started it in 99 but soon gave it to a friend as it was taking over my life and then he made it really great.

also, forum2000.org used to get visited many many times per day. RIP.

Ian Johnson (elmo oxygen), Friday, 15 August 2003 02:17 (twenty-two years ago)

Ooh, Engrish got mentioned. I visit that site a lot too.

I check this site every morning before I take off to wherever I'm going to take off:

http://www.transguide.dot.state.tx.us/

Just click on "Current Traffic Conditions", then "Incident Data", then back, then "Lane Closure Data", then if I have enough time I click on "Equipment Status" > "All Cameras Page" and "City of San Antonio Road Closures" > "Current Listing of Street Closures". It's a festival of local traffic data!
