nothing to do tonight: don't care

I just don't have the energy for any of it. So damned tired of things. I just... don't care.

Take a deep breath, pour yourself a cool drink, light some candles, take a relaxing bath, and get some sleep ... I usually find that the 'sleep' part of the prescription does the trick, but the other stuff is kind of nice in a pampering, 'well at least I can love myself' sort of way.

haha never. Especially not today when I slept through the alarm and got to work late (I had a good excuse, had to take my car to the shop right (this was actually true)) hungover and forgot to shave so I was pretty scruffy, I plugged my CD player into a couple of computer speakers and we listened to selections from the Vice City soundtrack box set and I kept bumming cigarettes off this new Army guy in my office even though I'm supposed to be trying to quit. I blatantly tried to take a nap in my chair after lunch and didn't open a single application window besides e-mail, browser and calendar all day.

i have days like this, with all the same issues actually ( well, except for the job one because i dont have a paying job, oh and i dont have a dog to poo on the carpet either ).

anyway, those days suck. for me its a matter of breathing til they pass, and i treat myself with a glass of wine in the evening 'woohoo party animal'. then i usually make a phone call to a friend overseas, just so i can have another shitty day when the phone bill arrives.

I have moments when I just stop and shrug and decide to forget about it all. They feel pretty good (then shortly afterwards I am frantically doing stuff in an effort to catch up but nevertheless those long moments of sheer blissful indifference are always with me, a beguiling reminder of how it is to not give a shit which, lets face it, is easier, and therefore much, much nicer).

I need to have one of those days soon. I have them but then I also have days where every tiny thing seems loaded with massive and foreboding significance and I wear myself out with all the caring. Not sure which of those extremes is worse.
