so - i read about her proposed divorce from Jude Law. so what is the point of sadie frost? i know f**k all about her except for expensive clothes from urban outfitters and the common people video.

so why is she so cool?

why do we care?

ailsa (ailsa), Saturday, 16 August 2003 01:41 (twenty-two years ago)

And she has a gay bar (gay bar) named after her in Glasgow.

ailsa (ailsa), Saturday, 16 August 2003 01:42 (twenty-two years ago)

absolutely nothing

Lynskey (Lynskey), Saturday, 16 August 2003 01:44 (twenty-two years ago)

say it again!

jed-e-3, Saturday, 16 August 2003 01:46 (twenty-two years ago)

I think that she's cute
and has sex with vampires (wait,
that was just a film)

Haikunym (Haikunym), Saturday, 16 August 2003 12:01 (twenty-two years ago)

I don't even know the Common People video.

Filing for divorce from Jude Law must seem like some (*some*) people's definition of a perverse action.

He once divorced me, in a way. (In a *way*.)

I like it when wee Ailsa is on ilx.

the pinefox, Saturday, 16 August 2003 14:04 (twenty-two years ago)

She was in the Common People video? My friend Bacall was in that too. *Imagine*

Lara (Lara), Saturday, 16 August 2003 14:06 (twenty-two years ago)

Lara, you know Bakul?

*small world alert*

suzy (suzy), Saturday, 16 August 2003 14:08 (twenty-two years ago)

Let's back up here. Where/what character in the "Common People" is Ms Frost?

Ned Raggett (Ned), Saturday, 16 August 2003 14:10 (twenty-two years ago)

She's the girl with the black bob who's standing in for the rich girl in the lyrics.

suzy (suzy), Saturday, 16 August 2003 14:13 (twenty-two years ago)

I figured as much! But I wanted to be sure.

(As it is, the one part of the video that seemed out of place was the one bit in the instrumental break where the blonde dancer just...slow motion dances for a few seconds.)

Ned Raggett (Ned), Saturday, 16 August 2003 14:17 (twenty-two years ago)

(and the girl Lara mentions was nice scenester girl who worked lots of PA jobs for record and management companies in Britpop years, who I saw last about a year ago)

suzy (suzy), Saturday, 16 August 2003 14:21 (twenty-two years ago)

Lara, you know Bakul?

Nope. I know a Bacall though.

Lara (Lara), Saturday, 16 August 2003 14:30 (twenty-two years ago)

Lara, there is only one Britpop Bacall/Bakul. She's Asian, and it's really spelt Bakul.

suzy (suzy), Saturday, 16 August 2003 14:32 (twenty-two years ago)

I feel awful for Sadie Frost. Have baby, have depression, lose husband. That's gotta suck.

Layna Andersen (Layna Andersen), Saturday, 16 August 2003 14:35 (twenty-two years ago)

Bacall's not Asian. She has natural blond hair and bright blue eyes. Perhaps you are not best friends with everyone in the known universe, after all?

Lara (Lara), Saturday, 16 August 2003 14:37 (twenty-two years ago)

Perhaps you should suck my left one as that was not called for ;-).

My Bakul and your Bacall are obviously different people on the same scene.

suzy (suzy), Saturday, 16 August 2003 14:51 (twenty-two years ago)

i am lucky(?) enough to think of the gay bar in glasgow named after her as my 'local' or my home away from home, more acurately. i left there about five hours ago. and i just dyed my hair black. completely irrelevant, but i thought i'd let you know. :P

thuddd (thuddd), Sunday, 17 August 2003 01:15 (twenty-two years ago)

no luck involved.

lara OTM and OGF.

RJG (RJG), Sunday, 17 August 2003 01:20 (twenty-two years ago)

i resent that.

thuddd (thuddd), Sunday, 17 August 2003 01:25 (twenty-two years ago)

it stands for On Good Form.

RJG (RJG), Sunday, 17 August 2003 01:26 (twenty-two years ago)

RJG OTM

the pinefox, Sunday, 17 August 2003 12:16 (twenty-two years ago)

Sadie Frost is good for:
a) looking impossibly smug in photos
b) err...
c) ...that's it!

Ricardo (RickyT), Sunday, 17 August 2003 16:34 (twenty-two years ago)

Gillanders in boring for Scotland shockah.

*yawns*

Anyway, I think SF gets a hard time. How can you accomplish anything on the level of hubby if he is constantly keeping you at home, barefoot and pregnant? Oh, I know: you divorce him.

suzy (suzy), Sunday, 17 August 2003 17:43 (twenty-two years ago)

theartskooldisko in blahing for minnesota non-shockah.

RJG (RJG), Sunday, 17 August 2003 17:52 (twenty-two years ago)

Dick is building a new Scotland.

It won't be boring.

I'm convinced.

the pinefox, Sunday, 17 August 2003 20:08 (twenty-two years ago)

I'm not. Dick by name, Dick by nature.

Pinefox can't get enough Dick tonight it seems ;-).

suzy (suzy), Sunday, 17 August 2003 20:12 (twenty-two years ago)

can't get enough Dick tonight it seems ;-).

You've got something on your chin there, speaking of which.

Tep (ktepi), Sunday, 17 August 2003 20:14 (twenty-two years ago)

theartskooldisko by name, blah blah blah.

RJG (RJG), Sunday, 17 August 2003 21:18 (twenty-two years ago)

she's good for tabloid column inches for a few more weeks i reckon... and i don't think jude law "kept her at home barefoot and pregnant"... bear in mind she has a worse track record at marriages than him...

Dave Stelfox (Dave Stelfox), Sunday, 17 August 2003 21:20 (twenty-two years ago)

Sadie wins sympathy points from me because of enduring years of marriage to the creepy clod. Gigolo Joe aside, he has grown more sinister and icky in each film he has appeared in.

Larcole (Nicole), Sunday, 17 August 2003 21:24 (twenty-two years ago)

Instead of all of this unrest the subject should be changed to something more pleasant, like Geir Hongro or James Spader.

Larcole (Nicole), Sunday, 17 August 2003 21:25 (twenty-two years ago)

i don't care abt either of them really, i'm just bored...

Dave Stelfox (Dave Stelfox), Sunday, 17 August 2003 21:26 (twenty-two years ago)

james spader is neither melodically nor harmonicaly complex

heir gongro (Dave Stelfox), Sunday, 17 August 2003 21:28 (twenty-two years ago)

That's what makes him great.

Larcole (Nicole), Sunday, 17 August 2003 21:29 (twenty-two years ago)

but without this melodic and harmonic complexity he will never be as great as the really very brilliant nik kershaw

heir gongro (Dave Stelfox), Sunday, 17 August 2003 21:30 (twenty-two years ago)

He can but dream.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Sunday, 17 August 2003 21:32 (twenty-two years ago)

i really do now want to be geir... his mode of theorising is a lot easier to grasp than my own...

Dave Stelfox (Dave Stelfox), Sunday, 17 August 2003 21:41 (twenty-two years ago)

four years pass...

Sadie's fashion label goes bust after running up £4m of debts
