blaster worm got me

my computer has stared spontaneously shutting down & people told me it was probably the W32.Blaster.Worm so i downloaded this thing from http://www.bu.edu/pcsc/virus/alerts/ms03-026/ & ran it
& now it says...uh oh gotta gowhat happens is a thing comes up teling me windows ill shut down in 1 minute, 59 seconds, 58 seconds, etc etc so i better save what i'm doing & this is the 2nd time i have tried to write this qn so if it appears in scrambled form that means the thing has popped up & i just posted the question without finishing it

get the patch

if you can't stay online long enough go to another computer and put it on disk. it takes a minute to install and yr cured.

so do you reckon that is even what it is tho , does that sound like what the blaster worm does...
i got shut down while i was writing that but uh yeah that s what happens , a thing comes up telling you that windows is gonna shut down...ok it's happened again, im out

The process "msblast.exe" is viral. It is terminated.

Deleted the value "windows auto update" from the registry key
"HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run".

The tool has deleted the viral file "C:\WINDOWS\system32\msblast.exe".

W32.Blaster.Worm has been successfully removed
from your computer!

If your machine is shutting down before you can apply the patch and you have XP.

start->run->"cmd"->enter

At the command prompt type "shutdown -a" and press enter, this will abort the shutdown.
